Chunky6617 Posted December 3, 2025 Share Posted December 3, 2025 Brady burned his bridges with west Jones when he didn’t just lay down and let West get away with illegally recruiting one of his best players… a player they had been tampering with before he ever even got to Stringer. He had proof that West was recruiting him, plus recruiting other players at other schools for several years, and the MHSAA stepped in and shut it down. I don’t think Brady would take the job now anyway. He’s at his alma mater and will be coaching his own kids soon. I could definitely see coach Hig taking the job. It would be a pay raise and an opportunity at a bigger job. West probably won’t hire him due to him being a wing-t guy his whole career but they would be foolish not to. Lastchance18 Posted December 3, 2025 Share Posted December 3, 2025 There are some smaller school coaches that may be good for this job. West Jones has only had three head coaches so it is obviously a place that someone can settle into if they do a good job. Higdon at Raleigh has proven he can win for sure. He knows how to run a hard nose, physical offense that would do well anywhere. Evans at Seminary has proven he can get a team in the hunt. Won championships at Taylorsville and competing at Seminary. Offensive guy that knows how to score points. Loy at Wesson turned a program around and has had them winning with average talent. Offensive guy that always has put up a lot of points. Granger at Sumrall did a good job but hasn’t been a head coach long enough to prove himself. Bay Springs guy hasn’t been a head coach long either. May need a few more years. Also heard the OC at Oak Grove Sumrall may be in the mix. Maybe not going downhill for a third year in a row. corey is from waynesboro but he’s not a good coach for someone with a lot of good players to manage . What’s his specialty anyway? Offense? He coached under Marcus. Does what he run at west look anything like attacking the whole field ? Defense ? It looks nothing like it did two years ago. If i had to run him off to get Pierson back I would personally drive the dozer out to SoSo and shove his camper into big creek. Then push dead trees on top of it.
