Only because everyone else is sorry.  Had we still only had 6 classes and the divisions were as they were prior to 2023, Laurel would not have made the playoffs the last 3 seasons.  Let alone made it to south state.  Gautier would not have gotten out of the 2nd round last year, maybe not the first.

It’s a lot of teams that wouldn’t be where they were this year if it was still 6 classes. Outside of West Point, 5A as a whole is trash. Would we have a clear front runner if WP was in 4A or 6A? No, so it’s not just the south that’s trash, the north has nobody but WP. Hell 6A is just as weaker
