Fair assessment. In my opinion, Pascagoula is one of the better jobs in this State. The pool Harrison Central chose to bring in seems average as well. We will see what Biloxi is doing soon enough. From what I hear it’s a two man race.

Maybe Ole Brook will have some good luck. You never know until the game is played. South 5 A, thanks to having 7 classifications, is not a strong league. Everyone knows this is fact. All you can do is play the teams on your schedule. I look for a new staff at Wayne County, TBA, to turn them around rather quickly.

WC will not be a cake walk. With that said, I’m pulling for Hattiesburg.

Yes ! And Hattiesburg is playing well.

There has been speculation for a year now. I have heard a current head coach in the coast has thrown his name in the mix. It will also be interesting if Gautier comes open as well.

6a south will definitely be interesting. I think Hattiesburg takes a step back but still can compete. Who knows how many transfers West Jones ends up with.

Looking towards what the coast 5a teams are looking at EC nor Vancleve stand out. Stone returns a lot and they have two D1 players. Wayne County is a question. Which way will they go… Brookhaven has a new head coach, I believe this is his first head coach position. Laurel, well, you just never know.

Agreed. However, The Pass has the potential to be very competitive this season. IMO

Poplarville is and should be the favorite in my opinion. Until they prove me wrong, they are the team to beat to win the South.

Blake Pennock would be my 1st thought.
