Archer
Gimme the Hattiesburg scouting report. Can they stop the run with their front seven because that is the key to this game. Terry played two deep for most of the game and stymied Pascagoula (the Panther defense scored two TDs). If Hattiesburg bottles up Amarie Jackson, then the Pascagoula offense struggles. Conversely, Pascagoula’s defensive front will struggle to stop the run if Hattiesburg has a formidable offensive line. Pascagoula has a very good secondary with two players having SEC offers so the matchup with Keys will be particularly intriguing against the FS Tylan Wilson. I remember last season they had some wideouts that could fly?

They do, especially outside the hashes (those wideouts haven’t graduated). Loper throws a great deep ball but hasn’t demonstrated the ability to excel in the intermediate game. BigFan100
We had 4 starters out yesterday including Keys last 2 games. Goula not going to stop HHS in no way form or fashion. Too many playmakers every game we gotten better and the best young DL in the state. We had 370 run yards last night over PRC.

Probably didn't think Grenada was going to stop your Tigers last year either, did you?

Hattiesburg rushed for 370yds vs PRC and did it without their no.1 RB who was not able to go. They averaged over 10yds per carry as they broke several runs between 10-20yds. The HHS OLine was blowing PRC off the line with ease.
slicklizard
Is the Pasca QB the same one that came in against OceanSprings ? He looked pretty tough to me and almost brought them back.

I think the qb now plays defense as well

Archer
Other than Keys, who are Hattiesburg's standout players?

With his injury causing him to miss quite a few games and with the games he has played in being blowouts by halftime and him not playing the 2nd half, Keys has probably played in a total of 3 games this season. I actually think this is a fascinating matchup. I don't think Hattiesburg runs the ball particularly well but they do pass it well. Goula has a really good matchup with their secondary. Main thing for Goula on offense is if they can pass the ball well enough to keep the Hattiesburg front lighter in the box and take advantage then by running it. Had a breakout game running the ball vs PRC. 370yds rushing. And our no.1 RB didnt play. 4 of the running plays went for 40+yds and 1 went 69yds for a TD

I will say that I believe the winner of this game will win South State.

I think it will be a slugfest, very physical. And the winner gets Picayune. That's not a team you want to face if you got beat up some the week before. While Picayune will be resting starters by halftime with a hot clock, hhs/goula will be throwing haymakers for 48 minutes.

Hightide
Goula's got a real good team this year and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they went up to Hattiesburg and win this game. Best of luck to both teams.

I came away thinking Lewis needed to turn him loose running the ball with him some. Lacey can get his first interaction with Sims. I picture him welcoming him by handing him a ash covered box of that assorted valentine chocolates that has a expiration date of 2023 .. Every time they see each other in the future Sims will ask him how did he like the knot holding the bow on it. Hard for me to say this, but wish west jones could have beaten hancock. They would have made Picayune have to play a little harder and longer this week. Picayune and probably the 2a south game featuring Heidelberg will be the biggest lopsided scores this week.
