maroontide06
I don’t see Hancock beating Stone and Poplarville won’t have any trouble with West Harrison. Poplarville should win that game by a larger margin than that.

And Hburg is winning if they hold petal to 17. Also Oak Grove may win but they not beating Starkville by 23.

Chunky6617
West Lauderdale struggled against clarkdale in their jamboree I was told. If so, they ain’t beating seminary.
Money05
I think Enterprise and Stringer will be much closer than 28-6. I know you are biased, and I may be a little bit too, but IMO it should be a close one. Otherwise not a bad list actually for the most part. You should always be careful about making judgements bases off jamboree results; 2 years ago Enterprise beat Bay Springs in a jamboree and we finished 5-6 in 2021 Enterprise lost to West Marion in a jamboree 7-6 and we went 12-1 that year and WM was not that good that year; but in 2022 we lost to Scott Central 13-0 and beat Taylorsville 6-0 and I believe those jamboree results pretty much reflected what would happen if we played them in a real game. A jamboree doesnt always indicate how a real game would go.

I feel Stringer is being overhyped they have one good player this is still a team that finished 5-7 last year and hasnt had a winning season in a while I dont feel Stringer is back to being an elite 1A program just because Brady is there the fact that besides Enterprise Brady put together a weak schedule should say something. They may have finished 5-7 last year, but the previous 3 years combined they only had 6 wins total. Without Brady coming in and changing the culture completely, there’s a good chance that same losing culture would have continued. Last year for Stringer was about completely rebuilding the mess that they had and getting back to the basics. This year is about learning how to win. Like you said, they haven’t had a winning season in several years (2018 unless you count COVID year). That will change this year. All of Stringer’s non district games (weak or not) were put on the schedule with an intention of winning or being extremely competitive including Enterprise. Am I saying Stringer is going to beat Enterprise? Not necessarily, but I feel confident that Stringer will compete for 4 quarters and if Enterprise does win it will be earned for sure. Right now, Stringer is not back to being an elite 1A program by any means, but if anything they are on the right track.

If this year is like last, it’ll take a few weeks for Brandon to find their rhythm - especially true this year with a new coach

If everyone was gauged off how they played in the jamboree, there would be a lot more discussion of who the favorite is in every classification. A jamboree give coaches a semi-accurate reading of where their team is and puts those players, who coaches think can play on, film going into week one.
