We only have 10 regular season games this year and I feel like I'm getting ripped off LOL.

I wish we would start Week 1 the week of Labor Day. Then 10 straight weeks. No Bye weeks. 4 rounds of playoffs for everyone. 1A-4A let top 2 seeds get into playoff instead of 4. 14 total weeks. Finish up same as usual. Schools have a month to prepare for their first game instead of 10 days or whatever it is now. Allows for better heat acclimation for players

Practice starts aug 1, so they have 4 weeks to acclimate themselves. And the season does start labor day weekend this yr.

We actually have a bye week this year.  I won't know how to act LOL.

Yes it won't happen but a guy can dream. 

4A--1A needs to go back to 4 regions per class, take the top 8 in each region to the playoffs. Should end all open dates with 9 region games each. Playoffs still start 1st Friday in November.

Practice starts this year August 4. The first 5 days have to be helmet/shorts only. Jamboree games are August 22. So you roughly have 7-8 days of pads/contact to prepare before a “live” game begins. Not a lot in my opinion. Especially when you factor in lost prep time due to heat, weather, etc.

Should do away with open dates preferably, schools and state are losing gate money.

Possibility of some non playoff bowl games scattered around the state.

It’s that week 6 bye.  Games could very well be slim pickings that week.  Hopefully Stone has a home game that week because that’ll knock out an obligation.

The freshman RB  that everyone had so much hope for is now practicing with Breland up the road and our returning bell cow at that position quit because he got into with,, well I said I wouldn’t go there anymore.

Pasquale’s ain’t sponsoring anything.  I actually think they may have closed.  I know when new owners took k er it went down hill quick.

I may try to put something together before the season kicks off.  I don’t really want to do a boring traditional one though. It will be designed to ruffle a few feathers. I haven’t had the time really to commit that much time to think about something like that.

I haven’t forgotten about Tib either. It’s still stuck in my craw about the behavior of some that are sometimes on here. 

 

Speaking to Merlins point I was out at my friends farm a couple of months ago and saw something. The guy that owned Pasquales was working in the poultry houses there. I whispered to my friend “ what the hell?”  He said I will tell you later ..I had  forgotten about it till I read that.

I’m not up there very much at all anymore last season was my last season of filming. I stop by occasionally to visit with everyone. I don’t really know the answer as far as kids actually leaving WC I don’t think that number is very high. Now they are getting a few from other schools around the area and some very talented kids that would be moving up to the ninth grade from the county feeder school. But that usually happens

Sounds like things are still tumultuous in Waynesboro. Interested to see how the War Eagles will look in the Jamboree vs. Pascagoula. Between that, and their pre-region schedule they have a great measuring stick to see what they have early on. I had them picked to be a finalist at South State in 5A honestly.

Uhhh no.  All that trailer park can opening will be for naught.  The Point City Invitational isn't too kind to those who aren't in West Point green.

I know the have a DL getting some good looks, might be a DE if I remember right. Not sure who the other one is. They're got some big country size in the trenches so I wouldn't be surprised if that's where the other one is.

For sure, Stone has the pieces to make a little run. In 5A I think getting to the 2nd round has to be the biggest thing. Another first round exit and I wonder if the hotseat gets turned up a lot.

Brookhaven should walk 5A south this year....with that being said, 5A south and class 5A overall may be the weakest class top to bottom in the state.
