It's going to be pretty tough in that division. Who ever win that's division it probably likely they see the same teams at South State

Enterprise is probably a year away from winning 2A but we have a chance this year we have good size and speed and an athletic QB who can do it all.

South 2A is Heidelberg’s to lose. They can very well see a region rematch in South State. The problem this year is if I understand what should be this year's bracket both Scott Central and Heidelberg may play round 3 instead of South state. That opens the door for Loyd Star, Mize, Collins, Bay Springs to make round 4. I don't see Enterprise as a 4 seed getting to round 2 with a 1st round road trip to Scott County.

I’m curious how collins looks this year. They lost their coach, and also lost two of their better starters to other schools.

Unless something changes Collins will be a 2nd round opponent. R5 vs R6 in round 1.

Those two starters were a big hit but they will be fine. I’m excited to see this sophomore class for sure. I can’t judge em off the spring game based off their competition but the offense looks a step faster and the defense will have to put some work in this summer

Wesson also dropping into 2A. They will factor into the south also. I would say they are a pre season top 10 in 2A.

@wpgreenwave51FWIW, the fact that he has y'all #1 in 5A and us #1 in 6A should probably be more concerning than anything.  I'd rather be #1 at the end than before anything starts.

Oh I know Dub and it's really not a concern.  Just trying to avoid the bad mojo LOL.  I certainly don't think West Point will get dethroned any time soon, but if there's any kinks that need to be worked out I'd rather work them out during the regular season than the postseason.

Should be pretty competitive. They lost some pretty good players from last year but still got some good ones returning. Should be a good battle between them and Loyd Star for the region.

Close calls yes but that's the way the game is played. The talent was deeper on the bench and the jr high programs are looking good

I mean West Point might actually slip up and not win it one year which he’ll prob say “see I told you so” but as long as the classifications stay the same no one is catching up with West Point in 5A to stay on their level consistently. West Point has become a football institution at this point.

West Point has played for the state title 9 years in a row, which ties South Panola's run.

Cleveland Central had a great opportunity last year to dethrone them in the North stopping West Point’s offense but a championship pedigree helped out with West Point’s defense and special teams stepping up to bring home the W. I didn’t see the Holmes County game but they had West Point dead and gone until they didn’t and West Point pulled it out. You gotta bring your absolute A game for 4 quarters to beat them.

and that is fully what this enterprise guy has no whiff of.  the 4 quarters of total hell until it is over, regardless of the score.

Holmes County coaches blew that game. We had a costly mistake deep in the 4th with the interception. HC ran the ball 3 straight times instead of trying to get a 1st down and we still had our timeouts.
