Brookhaven has a chance they will be very good Holmes County has better athletes but coaching holds them back WP is where South Panola was 15-20 years ago but like SP their run will eventually end. The problem is a lot students started going to North Panola. Coaches also tried to change their system. West Point doesn't have that problem with another team in Clay County. They had that problem with coaches attempting to change the system in the 90's. Allen brought the system back in 99 when he became the HC. Made the state in 02 won it in 05 and the rest is history. And with 7 classifications the run go continue West Point benefited greatly with the move to seven classes the better teams in 5A went to 6A in the last two years of 6 classes WP didnt win 5A championship Grenada would have beat WP the past two years. Duh! I stated that when 7 classifications was announced that it would be a benefit in West Point's advantage. We don't kno what would've happened if we played Grenada. Considering we've pretty much beat them when they were 5A I like our chances. I mean they did beat us to win the district and lost to us in the playoffs. Their HC can't and hasn't beat West Point despite having leads and one like Holmes County Central only to blow it when he was at Lafayette. Most schools on their schedule in recent years has had less than 3 wins a year with the exception of Wesson and 2nd round opponents. Strength of schedule doesn't compare to Mize's schedule.
