Thursday , May 18 at six a  varsity four quarter game in Waynesboro. It was supposed to be Demopois but they backed out so the man that built Wayne County football will bring his team down from Meridian to try and break the wing. Can you believe that ?

Last season in the spring game our offense couldn’t score. It was going around after it that Coach Hankins was holding back . Well that must have carried over into the regular season because every good team we played our offense was paralyzed and was that team’s downfall. I am a fan of Coach Hankins and think he is a good coach and leader. South MS football is a different animal than Alabama. Point blank.

I’m just saying now , that I’m going to be more critical because I think this team has the potential to do something. This baby has come to term and I am tired of hearing about the labor pains. It’s time to see el nino.

I am hearing McLaurin will be much improved

One can't go much lower than giving up 70 to Raleigh. I will believe 2 or 3 wins and 4th in Region 5 3A. They have to beat Southeast or Kemper to get in playoffs. Beating Noxubee or Enterprise  will be a tall task. And they do have Pisgah, Puckett, and St Andrew's on their schedule as possible wins.

Enterprise is a lock for 2nd place at least. Kemper Southeast and McLaurin had three wins between them last year.

They SHOULD finish 2nd. Part of me says you should’ve learned last year that there’s no locks with losses to Clarkdale and Union that you didn’t see coming, but then the other part of me remembers who I’m talking to.

We should have beat them both but the district will be much weaker this year.

Should have beat Clarkdale but Union was a better team who strong points were Enterprise’s weakness both offensively and defensively. Enterprise had a weak secondary and Union’s strongpoint was passing. Defensively Union was strong against the run with a good front seven and was able to slow Enterprise’s run down game enough to where it was 2nd/3rd down long yardage and then the score got far enough that y’all had to pass more than usual.
