Big mismatch in 5A game. Parklane scored on 1st drive of 2nd to make it 42 to 14. LA defense is getting shredded. Speed kills and Parklane is using it to score at will. Looks like Parklane is playing against air.

I do not believe I have ever seen so many penalties in the Marshall, Kirk game. You also had an ejecction.The camera caught the referee giving both teams a tongue lashing. Maybe instead of teaching the players plays, they should teach them the rules. Very sloppy game. One more thing and this is on an official. There was a completed pass on the sideline. The official was standing right next to the player who caught the pass. Ruled a completion and stepping out of bounds after catch. The receiver broke loose from the tackle and could have gotten more yardage. They reviewed the play and he did not step out of bounds. My point here is, why review? The minute that official blew his whistle, the play is dead. It was an inadvertent whistle. It makes no difference what the review saw.

Concerning the Newton-Mize situation. I think that was the only way to go. Newton is the furthest East and there longest drive would be about 45 minutes to Pucket. They are next door neigbors to Lake and SC. they are about a 40 minute drive to Pelahatchie. You could swap them out and it still would not make a lot of difference.

Interesting, I coached at Greenwood in the late 60's and early 70's. I was there when we intergrated fully in 1970. We had some good teams. We were in Big 8 conference and had over a thousand students in 9-12. My how things have changed.
