From my understanding Wayne County is dropping OG. Can’t say I blame em. Also OG vs Hoover was a 1 off. So we’ll have two new opponents next year.

I’m not sure. I think OS’s window may have closed for a bit after not being able to get over the hump with 3 really good years of football. I could be wrong. That defense carried them and they lose most of it if I’m not mistaken Gulfport has a really good head coach but until they actually show and prove they can do damage in the playoffs the jury is still out WTBS I think 7a south is wide open until I see what a few teams look like in the spring/offseason.

7a South is gonna be weird man. OG and Brandon are the usual suspects but have to really retool. I think we (OG) will be very good defensively but we lose a ton of offensive production. Pretty much everything outside of the run game. We never lack on talent though so, we’ll see.

Not exactly a home run hire in my opinion but he has plenty of experience at all levels of football.

In year 1? I wouldn’t be grumbling already. They didn’t have any bad losses. Mainly elite 6A and 7A teams. Even Pearl on paper in Round 1 was just as talented if not more. Obviously it’s hard to make the powers that be understand that but anyone with any real football knowledge knows Gulfport was just about right on par. Next year would be the year to really make some noise in my opinion

For the millionth time… talent wasn’t the issue this year. Nor is it most years. Picking the right coaches and scheme for the game itself are the glaring issues. 2 players ultimately beat MS this year. Ryan Williams and Dre Kirkpatrick.

MS was equally talented in most spots. Coaching was definitely a mismatch and AL had some big plays but MS had several chances to win the game.
