Because usually Petal is more well coached/disciplined.

So after watching Hattiesburg the last two weeks… the defense looks pretty solid.. but I think the lack of offense and consistent QB play should be pretty alarming. Especially against the more elite teams. Luckily though your region top to bottom isn’t much to write home about

Oh yea the metro bias has always been pretty heavy with them. Ive learned that some publications just are what they are. Even if Brandon does choke every year. But overall their coverage is a pretty good read.

A QB leaving OG to go to Hattiesburg is a hilarious thought. 3 of the last 4 OG QBs have gone on to play D1 level football. What QBs has Coach Vance actually developed?

I’m sorry but … our neighboring states play their state title games in the likes of the Superdome and Bryant Denny stadium. I’ll never be ok with suggesting a high school campus for ours.

Is Hartfield projected to be as good or better than last season ?

I’ll believe it when I see it. Although I do know some of the names y’all have over there. I’m just used to hearing the same pre season stuff over and over. OG is just playing a different level of football than most of the pine belt right now and actually winning rings. I’m mainly iffy on Hattiesburg’s QB play though more than anything else. Seems like that’s Vance Achilles heel from a development standpoint

Hattiesburg does this every year it’s nothing new. I feel like they assume we don’t have the same level of talent as last year when we really did just reload. Itll be a good game. But Hattiesburg needs to actually beat Petal first.

Yea right. Hartfield was good but they were the 4th or 5th best team in the state at best. OG Louisville/WJ Brandon Then you could argue Hartfield or Starkville.
