Dubaction

Actually no. They weren’t in the rotation at all the last time it was played there was the one Covid season.

It isn’t … but it is. Hopefully Laurel is as good as advertised this year to deliver real competition

5a is a snooze fest. Easily the weakest in terms of competition for the larger classifications

While understandably opinionated … not exactly your best work

I can respect the fact yall schedule the best 5a and 7a north have to offer in the process to show and prove.

Louisville has 7a level talent rolling through there right now. It’s pretty crazy.

He’s not. He’s originally from OG

AJ Lewis transferring to Oak Grove certainly changes Columbia’s trajectory a bit.

Is there any REAL competition for West Point in 5a?

Who told you that

Not much. There’s another 4 months before real action kicks off.

It is a bad take. You should probably keep reading before you react . I literally went on to say coaches can run spring ball however they please and that some don’t even play spring games. That’s quite literally the coaches choice. If you only consider “spring ball” a spring game scrimmage then that’s fine. But to suggest doing away with player development during the spring is asinine.

What’s the skinny on this school ?

You can run your spring ball as you wish. Some coaches don’t even play spring games and don’t tackle much at all in the spring. But to say 90% of them would rather not do spring ball is pretty silly. That’s a critical time frame for development. It’s much tougher to get kids all in for summer workouts than it is during spring ball when they are pretty much obligated to be there.

This is such a bad take it’s not even funny

Meant to make this topic the other day thanks. Think I saw where Oceans Springs and Petal are playing this Friday apparently.

Now that I have 3…. I’d like to see Hattiesburg win one

I do have a new found respect for (some) of the private school programs in Mississippi. But only a few.

Starkville has been the most consistent in terms of reloading and getting the job done in November as of late. I’d bet on them if I had to.

Serious question….What does OG have to do with this?

I’m probably gonna be in the minority here. If a family wants to pick up and move to another area for whatever reason that’s their business. Including high school football. Nothing wrong with wanting to put your child in a better position to succeed if you’re able to do it. Academically and physically.

Not crazy about including the first championship in the second ring but I get it. Good looking stuff right there.

That’s kinda what happens when other areas grow. And as an alum… assuming you’re on the outside looking in, don’t take everything you hear as gospel.

Most of us knew that already. Amazing how OG went from everyone’s homecoming game to the most successful 7a program in South Mississippi currently.

Petal is a band school that just so happens to have a football team.
