I know offensively last year their OL wasn’t very good but Daniel Beale is a dang good QB that made plays to get himself out of trouble. They had a young solid backfield but I think they lost most of their receivers.

Apparently the sun is closer to the earth than it was in our day based off an argument of this topic I had with someone on FB. I’m 40 y/o, work 12 hours a day as a Tankerman on 160 degree barges in south Louisiana where the heat index gets stupid high and I’m perfectly fine with it. I just stay hydrated.

Coastfootballman, same thing happened about 10 years ago in the delta at West Bolivar with William Lloyd. He was considered undersized at LB and was overlooked because most attention was on Dandy Dozen Kailo Moore. Lloyd went on to be starting LB for EMCC winning 2 championships then going on to start 2 years at Troy. Since then he’s been winning championships overseas.

I’m not gonna lie. Sometimes I wonder if you’ve been diagnosed with being bipolar or post as a joint account like couples do on FB because you’re guilty of being an unrealistic homer then go and make comments like this. Over the 10+ years I’ve been on here with you, you’ve put Enterprise on a pedestal that would be higher than South Panola was during their dynasty run.

I’d love to see him at Ole Miss. If I were a coach and saw him play, there’s no way I’d walk away saying I don’t have a spot for him. I’d get him on the field somewhere. The kid has some of the best instincts I’ve ever seen.

Man I’d sure love and try to make that game but unfortunately I leave back out on the tow boat Tuesday and won’t be back home until Sept 5.

The kid reminds me of a high school version of Brian Dawkins.

With the Dandy Dozen being selected yesterday, I’d like to know of some guys you think are underrated or not mentioned a lot. I thought about this topic this morning while looking on Mississippi High School sports page this morning. I saw a highlight reel of Picayune’s Amarion Tyson and now he’s one of my favorite players to watch. I see Oregon and State have offered, but definitely surprised he doesn’t have more offers. If Poundtherock is correct then we’ll def see as far as Mancuso is concerned because Winona and Noxubee County certainly have the Jimmy and Joe’s while Jefferson Davis County isn’t a favorite to win it all.

My cousin played for John Curtis from 2012-2015 and won two state championships with them but the 2013 was taken away. Was cool during that time because I had another cousin playing for Evangel out of Shreveport and they played each other for the 2012 state championship. Being originally from LA and still someone who keeps up with what goes on in the state, I’ve always been a fan of the school.

With baseball, parents more worried bout that money and not thinking about the long run with your kid arm getting worn out and possibility of TJ surgery by time he’s midway through college.

I’ve got a friend that’s a head coach in 5A, I made my same comment to him about the every year failed expectations of Holmes County and he mentioned the QB transfer as well. I’m with you though, I wanna see it before I believe in them to be serious contenders.

They certainly aren’t championship caliber teams but what I’m sure FBDude is referring to is that they replaced teams like Ethel, Stringer, Sebastopol, Leake County and Sacred Heart.

I was wondering the same thing. I’ll say one thing though. I remember you telling me one person doesn’t make a team and I do agree with that but was gonna say sometimes it does though if it’s the QB and this is my example to Hazlehurst. This was a huge blow to them because they had already lost a ton to graduation.

I’m confused. One minute you’re dogging Jimmerson for his scheduling of easy opponent’s and next you’re bragging about the record from that schedule.

I’d love to say yes but at this point I’m not real sure. You have to basically play a perfect game to beat West Point. We’ll be able to get a better feel on Clarksdale Week 2 when they travel to South Panola.

Honestly outside of West Point this might be the most down 5A North has been in awhile. They do have Clarksdale in their region who I think is the 2nd best team in the north. I live in Oxford and I haven’t heard any great things about Lafayette so they seem like they’ll be down this year.

Me and few of my buddies from McEvans and Simmons were just talking yesterday about how we can’t believe how Velma Jackson has gone to 3A to 1A so fast.

In 5A my biggest question is does Holmes County Central finally live up to preseason hype?
