They’ll have to replace some guys on defense because they lose 2 of their linebackers and all but 1 guy from starting secondary. Not sure about their DL. My previous statement about their offense is because they return pretty much everyone on that side of the ball and just my opinion but should have the best QB in 2A with Hickmon who will only be a junior. Part of me wants to put them at the top of 2A North but hard to go against Charleston tradition and Calhoun City was a young team last year who should have a much better year. Eupora is going to take a step back with Ty Murphy graduating and not sure what Philadelphia is bringing back so I do think Union wins that region.

I could be wrong, but isn’t Philadelphia in the North this year in Eupora’s region? North is pretty much wide open as well, but I’d give the nod to Charleston right now. Union should be real good. At least they will be offensively. You’re right 2A is as wide open as it has been in a long time. I’d probably go with… 1. Charleston 2. Calhoun City 3. Eupora 4. Union 5. Philadelphia

The south def intrigues me with those but gotta go with Hazlehurst at this point. Wish Noxubee stayed in the north to give Winona some sort of roadblock.

That’s like comparing apples to asparagus. Had this happened to JDC or other teams you consistently down then we’d be reading about how they’ve fallen off and have no speed but since it happened to Enterprise the game didn’t matter.

Should have beat Clarkdale but Union was a better team who strong points were Enterprise’s weakness both offensively and defensively. Enterprise had a weak secondary and Union’s strongpoint was passing. Defensively Union was strong against the run with a good front seven and was able to slow Enterprise’s run down game enough to where it was 2nd/3rd down long yardage and then the score got far enough that y’all had to pass more than usual.

They SHOULD finish 2nd. Part of me says you should’ve learned last year that there’s no locks with losses to Clarkdale and Union that you didn’t see coming, but then the other part of me remembers who I’m talking to.

I def can see them going to Simmons cuz this isn’t a rebuild that’s going to happen over night.

Imagine only going to the championship 3 times in 42 years and throwing a school like South Panola under the bus who has won it twice in the last 10 years. When a team is good at something the other team struggles against it usually leads to fans saying they played a terrible game. Told you all season y’all struggled against the pass and Union exposed it.

They’re my early 3A favorite next year. I’m hoping the Zachary game was a home/home arrangement because I think they could give them a much better ball game next year and maybe even pull off a win.
