I watched 2 of their games this morning from last year. Hate to bring them into the convo cuz they always seem to be but Patrician reminds me a lot of Enterprise. Same Wing T offense that will lull you to sleep running the ball about 98% of the time then hit you with a bomb when you least expect it. They won’t beat you in a track meet by any means, but they’ll def trick you with misdirection. I’m a big fan of #1 Carson Coody now. That kid will run you over when blocking and a handful to bring down when he has the ball.
-
I was generous and gave them wins against Winston and PCHS during that 8 game stretch even though I think the PCHS game is a tossup. They should beat Leake and East Rankin in the last two games.
-
I do know they got Jay Lindsey the TE that’s something like 6’6 235 committed to State.
-
Feel free to come back to this at the end of the regular season if I’m wrong. Looking at the schedule, I see a 4-6 finish at best and third in the district. All we know for certain right now is it doesn’t bode well when you lose to an average team in the same classification as you.
-
OFA, Simpson, Copiah and Heritage were playing better ball. Lamar just had a stretch of their last four games playing against teams that were under .500. They went winless against teams with a record above .500.
-
No offense because you might be right but it’s hard to take your word for it after you made a topic last year about Lamar playing the best ball in 5A at that moment and that no one wanted to see them then they go and lose a couple days later in first round of the playoffs. Again, you might be right. Just the first game of the season with lots of season left to play. They are in a very tough region though where I think they will finish 3rd behind Copiah and Simpson.

Friday @ 5:30 Lafayette @ South Panola

Copiah @ Jackson Prep should be a good one. #1 5A against #1 6A!!!

Saw this on FB the other day. Not sure if this is still up to date or if any changes have been made.
-
Yea I was surprised to see this because Washington didn’t look too good from what I heard against GCS last week in jamboree. I think GCS beat them 16-0.
-
ACCS beat Bowling Green 41-2
-
Opposite-Washington beat St. Joe 7-6

Case Thomas is one of the young MRA WR’s who stepped it up here in the 2H to be White’s main go to guy with his 2nd TD catch of the 2H. 41-19 MRA w/9:51 left to go.
-
Based off his last missed EP that was pushed back 10 yards, that prob would’ve been near his max on that 4th down.
-
Yea I think it was 3 but not sure. I know Swanson had 2. Parklane seems to have found some stuff that works on their last 2 drives. Question is can they find a way to stop MRA’s offense? White certainly looks the part of a D1 QB but you can tell MRA is going through some early season growing pains with some young WR’s. Simpson and McMillan look to be some bright spots offensively though. Defensively the Clark boys for MRA has been having their way with the Parklane OL, but I’ve been impressed with how well Brewer has been able to escape trouble.
-
Brewer Carruth with another TD reception with 1:08 left til half to make it MRA 27-19. Parklane is def much improved.
-
That didn’t take MRA long to answer back 27-12.
-
That was a good TD answering drive for Parklane to get some momentum back. I’d keep throwing it up to the tall WR they have cuz MRA wasn’t able to stop him that drive.
-
I know MRA just got a pick 6 to make it 13-6 but that secondary looks like it has some work to do. Defensive front looks solid.
