Well didn't they coach together in some of the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star games and also the Bernard Blackwell All-Star game as well? Most football coaches get along with one another when they aren't having to face each other on the gridiron. I realize there may be some exceptions, but generally they have a lot in common so yeah it's easy to see them being like best friends.

I'm sure that play did look good. I went and fried at the Bowling Green game Saturday. Lord it was hot. I feel like I'm still frying from Saturday LOL! But here's the thing, anything will look great against PRC. I've seen some bad PRC football teams before along with a few good ones, but this team has got to take the cake as the worst one I've seen. It's a shame it's that way because those boys up there deserve the chance to have a good football team. Now if Vancleave gets their defense cleaned up, the 28-7 score prediction could very well be justified. If not, Vancleave could be in for a long or short night depending on the hot clock situation. Picayune just needs to lock in and play clean. If we do that, we should come away comfortably with a W.

So does Vancleave have a defense? They got into a shootout with Long Beach and Picayune is starting to click on offense. Our defense is absolutely superb and we seem to improve from week to week. Granted he has us winning that game, but if we win by that score I feel like that’s a small win for Vancleave as well.

I remember reading a post of Coach Breland (I think it might have been his twitter account). But nonetheless it was back in 2019 when Dodd was hanging it up. He was very complimentary of Coach Lee and that has always stuck with me. That tells me that Todd Breland is a man of integrity and I hope he reads your post Slick. I certainly don’t know what Coach Breland’s future holds, but he deserves to win a championship that’s for sure.

Thanks for the recap Merlin . I didn’t realize the game was at Florence. The website where I saw the schedule had it at Laurel. Oh well. The Wayne County-Florence game will be one to watch for sure.

Florence Eagle fans will probably remember this game for a very long time. A win between the bricks is no easy task.
