Thanks for the insights FBdude. I honestly had no idea what kind of program that Zachary had. I just saw where John Curtis had lost to them and saw where they were mortal when they used to be immortal LOL!

They lost to Zachary, LA 40-21 last week so I guess they are back to a normal football team. I don't think John Curtis coaches them anymore because you see him on the TV for Saints pre-game commentary.

I seriously doubt they would still be a 4A school after consolidation. They should be a decent sized 5A school at the very least. What kind of historical connection does 49ers have with Simpson County? Were there some guys in Simpson County in 1848 that went to California for the gold rush or something?

Things must be getting bad in Meridian for them to be treating it like a pro or college venue, but I concur when it comes to loitering. They supposedly cleaned that crap up at Picayune last year, and guess what? It was back in full force. It’s mainly a bunch of kids hanging out with their friends, but I bring my boy and we sit there like adults and watch the game. What’s bad is when you try to walk around the stadium to try to get to the restroom and can’t because of all the loitering. They’ve got police at the games, but they certainly are not enforcing any loitering policies this year. It’s back to the same ol’ same ol’ I guess.

Would the FPI have something to do with it? State is 9th in the FPI while I believe LSU is like 12th. I really like the way this Mississippi State football team is looking, but they just need to keep their head to the plow and focus on the task at hand and that is to beat LSU this week. They will need to lock in and play a solid game in Death Valley.

Give me Hazlehurst in this one. I don't really know anything about either team, but I think Hazlehurst might have a slight advantage. I think they win by at least 10.

You know what? You're absolutely right. Beating a 6A team doesn't entitle them to be ranked #1. They certainly have to earn it and quite frankly they have. They gave us fits the entire second half we played them and that is an outstanding football team with an outstanding coach who after this year will have run out of fingers to put rings on. They have a good problem in Bassfield. One you probably don't know anything about.

How bad will PRC lose to Sumrall? I guess it'll be so bad it doesn't need a prediction LOL!

It’s all good Deonte. I was just having some fun with y’all. I know y’all are true fans. Hopefully y’all can get a win at the Ray this week.

This may be an odd take, but I’m glad we lost to D’Iberville last year. It was part of the equation to get us to where we needed to be. Looking back on things, it didn’t really hurt us but instead it probably reenergized our focus. Also I don’t think Picayune needs to get revenge. I know losses are no fun, but when you go back and look at the whole picture it turned out to be a good thing. As long as we go out there and improve upon our performance from last week, we’ll have nothing to worry about and this time next week we will be sitting at 4-0.

Hey @Vottand @Deonte3455, do y’all want to pick a different team to be a fan of this year? I don’t think anybody on MST would hold it against you if you did. Hattiesburg’s got to be hard to look at this year.

I guess we’ll be able to tell after Florence eats their last cupcake this Friday night. After that will be the true litmus test, but you have to give credit where it’s due. Not everyone is 3-0 right now, so job well done by Florence taking care of business so far.

How is Jefferson Davis County ranked #4 in 3A? Mancuso would run circles around Enterprise, Raleigh and Amory. No disrespect to those programs, but they just knocked off a school 3 1/2 times bigger than them. Help me to understand .
