There’s a pile of North Half teams I would like for us to play, but that would probably get way too expensive. I always wanted to see a Picayune-South Panola matchup from way back in the day, but I’ll gladly take a matchup with either Madison Central or Germantown. A Maroon Tide-Conquistador matchup would probably be interesting as well, but Olive Branch is such a long ways away.

Well Big Poppa, I had one of those epiphanies earlier and I’ve been trying to figure out Region 3 for the longest time and I thought I had a small moment of clarity and I know that water is going to get muddied up again, but who knows ?

Playoff teams for Region 3: (no particular order) Wayne County West Jones Florence Hattiesburg

You hate to call it this, but if there was a Cinderella story in Mississippi High School Football this year, this is it. I realize the natural instinct is to pick Wayne County to win, but if you are riding with the hot hand then you've got to pick different.

I'd like to be a fly on a handrail at that game just as long as I don't get squished LOL!

Hmm...I guess Oak Grove/Petal and Florence/Wayne County is too tough to predict. I can understand why you left those two games alone, but I think one game would be easier to predict than the other.

I don't know if we'll see the offensive shootout like we saw last year. Scoring 111 points in a football game is hard to do even when it's both teams contributing to the effort.

What’s crazy is there ain’t a bad team in region 7. They are all 4-1 or 5-0. I realize they are about to start cannibalizing each other, but man that is one stout region from top to bottom (if it even has a bottom).

I just hope both teams can play a clean hard-nosed football game because that’s what fans pay to see. You certainly don’t get your money’s worth when there’s a hot clock and the folks trying to make some money at the concession stands get shortchanged as well.

If Vancleave can slow down Picayune’s offense, it’ll probably be a 28-7 type ballgame. If they can’t it’ll probably be like 42-7. We’ve consistently allowed 7 points to every team we’ve played this season, so that’s where the 7 comes from. It’ll be interesting to see how these two teams matchup with one another because these predictions could be way off as well.

Unfortunately the coaching matchup will be more intriguing in this one than the actual ballgame.
