The one blaring statistic that stands out that cost us the ball game was Kentucky 38 rebounds to Mississippi State 22 rebounds. We took a big nap last night with the rebounds. If we were to have gotten more rebounds, that would have resulted in more shot opportunities which in turn would lead to more points. That was the ultimate dagger imo.

If State could get some rebounds they might would have the lead, but they can’t a rebound to save their skin.

If the bridge is still intact, they need to go get Stockstill. He's got the experience/trophy cabinet to get the job done. Not that an in-house hire would be a disappointment, but when you get the opportunity to get a multiple gold ball winner (regardless of state) you go after that opportunity. If Bramlett is a great football coach looking for an opportunity to start somewhere it might behoove him or Lampley to look at the PRC job. I'm certainly not trying to hijack this thread, but PRC needs a culture change and someone like those two fit the bill.

Both the men and women are in the last 4 in. They both need to keep winning to get off of the play-in games, but even if they stay there that's still a huge accomplishment regardless.

I tend to agree with your sentiment here. If they were going to hire from within, why the heck do you bring Jeff Stockstill in for an interview? Why would Ocean Springs want to tease themselves like that? If I was a Greyhound fan, I would be lobbying real hard for Stockstill.

So @Davidwhat’s the other direction for Ocean Springs? I’m just wondering about that.

To put it bluntly: If y’all don’t scoop him up, somebody else will sooner rather than later. The big upside to this would be that he would be closer to home here in Pearl River County and no I’m not referring to any job openings within our county.

What I can tell you is that winning translates. High School football is High School football. The MHSAA has already conveniently weakened down the classifications and the resources would probably be better at Ocean Springs than Scott Central. If Ocean Springs has the opportunity to hire a football coach with multiple gold balls why wouldn’t they take full advantage of that particular situation?

Great win by State today. Bud Walton is a tough place to play and a win there is huge. They cleared the court pretty quickly after this one too.

I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock into a preseason ranking. It’s mainly a bunch of rubbish anyway and besides it’s freaking baseball. Who honestly knows at this point who will get hot in May & June. Those cats would be better off sitting around a campfire with a bottle of J.W. Dant to accompany them.
