And when State walks a guy (which is quite frequent), it ends up being a double because our catchers can't throw 'em out before they get to second base. I think they just let them take it if I'm being honest here.

He didn't get the job. That's all I know about it.

Finally, the Ocean Springs schedule has been released.

Picayune has a brutal non-region schedule as well, but that's an effect of good things that have happened, so it's more than welcome in my book. Any win in non-region for Picayune (with the exception of PRC), will be a hard earned, well deserved win. That medicine ball non-region football schedule will wind up paying dividends during region play and during the playoffs. -

If Picayune can stay healthy, then yes I can agree that the Maroon Tide will be better this year than last year. That defense is going to be some kind of salty. -

So if Ocean Springs is the "Kings of the Coast", does that make Picayune "Kings of the Tung Belt?" LOL -
Greatest Mississippi High School QB's of all time?

I knew about Bobby Junkin, but that’s very interesting about the others. Thanks for the info there. -
Understood. I guess anything at this point is believable, but I think the common thread here is they are not looking within our state borders and there's coaches more than capable right here in Mississippi who can get the job done.
-
I find that as believable as hiring a football coach from Australia LOL! They might as well go to Alaska to get a coach at this point.

Can we even get out of the sixth?
-
It’s a 10 run lead now. Too bad it’s still in the 6th. Now make it 11.
-
Yes they are.
-
Also the amount of runners left on base is inexcusable. You have to get those runners home.
-
The pitching has been atrocious and the walks have been as contagious as a yawn. I know the weather is cold, but you still have to throw strikes.
-
Great job by the State women tonight. I know Sunday against Notre Dame will be a tall task, but a win against a 6 seed when you’re an 11 seed is no small task either.
-
Tough way to lose a baseball game for State. That’s baseball for you.

So if Brian Ford was a lock as of yesterday, then why the sudden change in a 24 hour period?
-
What good is a playoff win if you can't win the whole shebang? Getting to the finals just to lose certainly isn't the right way to go about things is it? Brian Ford has already gotten the monkey off his back and if PRC can't see that he is the right fit, then I don't think they deserve winning football in Carriere and they probably won't get it either.
-
Can they give him a medical redshirt so he doesn't lose eligibility?
-
I think Ocean Springs upgraded their coaching staff top to bottom and is a significant upgrade from last year. Ocean Springs vs. Picayune this fall will be a war. Mark my words.
-
Hmmm.... this leaves an interesting void in Poplarville. I wonder who Coach Beech will get to fill the void?
-
Ocean Springs set themselves up in a darn good position if something unforeseeable were to happen.

Tracy Lampley = Cream of the Crop. It don't get no better than that.

That's a feller who's highly revered in Waynesboro too. I know the Wayne County folks are happy for him.

Why haven't we seen Stone pitch this year? Last night he was coaching 1st base kind of like what Landon did last year.
