what a joke, 7 classes!
-
Has anyone got this book yet by Nash Nunnery? It's about 47 of the most famous high school football stadiums in Mississippi. It's illustrated by Marshall Ramsey. I can't wait to get it myself.

Meridian High has chosen Shelton Gandy as new Head Coach

I'm not sure enough of those athletes in Meridian care about Football anymore. -
I would like to see Oak Grove play Saraland

I'm curious as to why he left Wayne Co. Was he forced out. Did he leave on his own? Why did Wayne Co not hire him back this year? -

he wasn't that great a coach at Wayne Co. I don't know what he's done since then. Without Daniel Hill, I doubt seriously Meridian will make the playoffs again next year. -
it's a excellent location but the stadium would need extensive modifications to make into a football field, and would probably need double the seating.

Ala could play Louisiana. That should be a fair match
-
We would beat the crap out of Arkansas
-
This is exactly the problem with 7 classes.
-
I fear Meridian has passed the rubicon!
-
I had heard mid season that Boyles was having a hard time getting control of the players, who hadn't really been coached hard since Weems left. I dismissed it at the time.
-
I understand what you are saying but what separates Meridian from all other high school stadiums and Miss. College as well is it has large equal 7500 seats on each side. So both teams competing get the same size stands. Plus it has field turf and Meridian is centrally located and has a large number of hotel rooms too.
-
in most years the majority of the north teams are in the general proximity of Starkville and the majority of the south teams are in the general proximity of Hattiesburg. Therefore the rotation should be between MSU & USM. Or maybe have it in Meridian one year, big enough stadium, turf, plenty of hotel rooms and pretty equal distant to both north and south.

Nothing impressed me about these games except the players themselves. The 7 classes/Stadium/location/field conditions/refereeing/TV production all sucked!
-
this field is atrocious!
-
just another reason why 7 classes is too many. Not even enough 3 A teams in the south and have to put Noxubee in the south. Just Ridiculous!!
-
I can't believe how bad these refs are. They are either incompetent or they have a vested interest in the outcome because they are absolutely preventing Columbia to be able to compete in this game.
-
no way anyone can say this compares to past games in hattiesburg. Attendance looks terrible and I've heard many west jones fans are gonna have to drive home at midnight tomorrow night because of no hotel rooms available in Oxford. This is just not a good venue/location for these games.
-
This is exactly why 7 classes are so bad. you'll never really know who the best team is anymore. you're really just better than 23 other teams. Too many champions really means no champion.
-
for the most part it was like there was a stone wall at the line of scrimmage and Picayune just kept running into it over and over.
-
yep, pretty accurate
-
The championship games should rotate between MSU & USM because those areas are where most of the teams come from anyway.

5 pine belt teams headed to Oxford, Oak Grove, West Jones, Laurel, Columbia & Heidelburg
-
12-2 , only surprises were Grenada & Heidelburg
