Dawg83
Big week of games nationally, arguably the biggest to date. Several games with playoff and conference title implications. So naturally I’ll talk about State vs Georgia first. Lol. I have low expectations here and am not even sure State can replicate the performance against Texas (a game they still lost by 22). I think Georgia flexes its muscles after a couple of weeks of not playing great. UGA 52 State 6 Ole Miss vs LSU - massive game in Baton Rouge. I will admit that I’ve only watched one game of each team, and for both it was the game they lost. OM is a slight favorite here and you kinda feel like if they win here they’re right back on track and the Kentucky loss has been made up for. My pick going into the year was LSU wins at home, and I feel like picking LSU in a night game in Baton Rouge is the safer pick. LSU 27 Ole Miss 24 Texas vs Oklahoma - Red River tends to get weird…. I’m taking Texas to win but think it’s close SC at Bama - I think Bama bounces back strong after the huge embarrassment of last week. Bama by 24. Vandy at Kentucky - feels like the classic hangover spot here. Kentucky wins at home. Florida at Tennessee - UT bounces back and wins big at home. Ohio State at Oregon - I’m going Buckeyes here. I was really high on Oregon going into the year but they’ve underwhelmed some. Ohio State hasn’t played anybody really but they might have the best roster in the country this year. maroontide06
Solid picks. I think the outcome of Georgia and State is correct, but I just don't see State getting completely floored like that. If they do, where do you start cleaning house at? I'd like to think State would want to be less than halfway competitive in this ballgame. If they are more than halfway competitive, then yes they will get floored like you say. If you're gonna fall, then fall upwards.

If you can find a way to watch the LSU game without watching the Ole Miss game- I’d appreciate it!** I agree on all the winners you picked. Ohio State and Oregon is the biggest game nationally. I’m leaning all Buckeyes all day.
NoWammies
With no Matt Jones for the LSU game we might actually get to see UBIV. Unless he really is in the doghouse and we see Amos instead. Still got my fingers crossed that Harris will play.
pancho
my friends going to LSU are all worried but say they will drink enuf that it won't matter
Bulldogs4
I have been to Red Stick twice for State games. Enjoyed each time but today I have no interest in going to see a game there. I kind of like Ole Miss to win this game. No particular reason other than a gut feeling. Something about this LSU team just feels off. Ole Miss 38, LSU 28 Georgia beats State but not quite 52-6. I will say 38-17. Oregon surprises the ohio state at home. 22-21. OK upsets TX in the RRSO. 42-38. Bama 30, SC 24 KY 28, Vandy 16 TN 31, FL 14 Other games of note: Penn State gets upset by Woody & Co at USC 28-27. Washington behind Rogers beats Iowa on the road in an upset, 16-14. ULM routs USM 24-3.
Dawg83
Not that it matters a ton but the Arizona State team that ran all over State is now 5-1. Beat Utah last night. If anyone can figure out what to make of the Big 12 then be my guest. I think Iowa State is good but after that I have no idea.
NoWammies
Right now I’d prob have BYU over Iowa St. They have already whooped up on a ranked Kansas St team and beat a ranked SMU team that’ll prob be in the ACC championship(that’s weird to say). Bulldogs4
Arizona State is a solidly good team and that Skatteboo dude reminds me a bigger version of Josh Robinson. Guy is built like a tank. But unlike Robinson he will be on a NFL roster next year. To the Big 12’s credit they have remade themselves into a decent conference. Bulldogs4
Interesting development in TCL. Bama has a comfortable 14-0 lead late in the second quarter. Then completely implodes. Now 14-12 at the half and the spoiled Bama fans are booing their own team.
pancho
Tennessee has to shake the cobwebs from last week and win today in the swamp. Bama at Knoxville next week will be epic
Dawg83
Don’t think today could’ve realistically gone any better for State. Lost 41-31 and your freshmen QB threw for 300 yards and 3 TD’s. I know they need a total reboot on defense but Lebby has something to work with in Van Buren as signal caller.

State usually does surprisingly well in Athens even though they come up short.
Bulldogs4
34 point underdogs and it was a game in the 4th quarter. Lebby is definitely building something even though we are short on talent especially defensive side of the ball. Hopefully we can continue to improve. A&M will obviously be big favorites but at least our players are competing. Certainly have to recruit and hit the portal. But I like what I see nowadays. I do believe Toledo was the valley and we are headed upwards now. Let’s Go Dawgs!!!
Dawg83
Unreal finish in Baton Rouge. I thought OM was clearly the better team and they somehow managed to lose it in the key moments. Gotta be a really frustrating loss for OM fans. And now it’s mid October and a roster that was constructed to make the Playoff has its Playoff hopes hanging on by a thread. It’s basically win out or enjoy the Gator Bowl at this point.
s1nglewing
Ole Miss is three penalties per game away from being a contender for a NC. Until that gets rectified, they'll be an "Almost".

Two weeks in a row they’ve only been able to get FGs the second half.

Bulldogs4
Too many missed opportunities in the first half. Ole Miss was up 4 but should have been up by 17. Those will bite you especially on the road. Ole Miss is now in a “must win every game “ mode the rest of the season.” There is no more margin for error. And Vandy is for real.
Insideradvantage
OM game was absolutely lost in the first half.
NoWammies
Another game where Ole Miss goes into halftime not up by how many they should’ve been and it came back to haunt them this week. Rebels are done for. Saints suck. I’m through with football this year. Gonna learn rugby.
Bulldogs4
Well for us State fans, we can just ride with other football team. The girls are 11-1 overall and 5-0 in the SEC. Host Missouri tonight. Ranked #4 in the nation.
Bulldogs4
And I guess the protected status of Kirby Smart allows him to bludgeon another team’s QB right in front of the referee with no penalty or consequence. And then he conveniently claims to have forgotten it. The play happened right in front of him as well. He knew Van Buren had just gone out of bounds. Pathetic but normal for the SEC Officiating crews as well.
