rebmus
Oh, I understand it was pretty much due to Liberty being in the Fiesta Bowl. I just don't think the Fiesta bowl has been that far down the list often... if ever?
pancho
I'm going with Washington over Michigan
Bulldogs4
I picked Washington in my Bowl fantasy picks. Beating Alabama takes a monumental toll on a team. I know WA had a tough game with TX but I wonder what Michigan has left in the tank. It is hard to duplicate that two weeks in a row. WA has been underrated and I think they are going to prove the prognosticators wrong Monday. Penix is a a good QB who wins the Heisman if he was playing on powerhouse team in the East, South or Midwest.
Dawg83
I’m going Washington too. Hard to pick against an elite QB in a big game. And Washington has won a ton of close games this year. I say that, it’s entirely possible Michigan just overpowers them at the LOS and Harbaugh wins a title.
MSTSatchmo
I actually didn’t think Washington was one of the best 4 teams, but they obviously are legit. It should be a great matchup. Michigans physical defense against Washington’s loaded offense. I hope Washington wins because Michigan is coached by a cheating SOB, but I think Michigan wins. 31-

They’re very specifically elite at QB and WR and play good enough everywhere else. Texas didn’t have the secondary to stop them, maybe someone like Georgia or Bama could have, but that’s not how the seeding fell. We’ll see on Michigan. They haven’t really played a passing game anything close to Washington all year.
Bulldogs4
I know this is a College Football site but the NFL defensive players running to the end zone in unison after every single turnover has really gotten LAME. I guess I am from the Walter Payton era where he just let his actions speak for themselves. He never needed to do something to draw attention to himself.

Walter Payton is probably my favorite NFL player of all time. I remember watching him work out running at the reservoir in Jackson when I was about 6 years old. Payton played at Jackson State at that time.
Dawg83
I don’t know that it will end the same way but early on this has shades of Georgia-TCU. Michigan just totally overpowering Washington’s DL. Edited January 9, 2024 by Dawg83
Bulldogs4
Game settled down. Second half might end up being a heck of a good game.

This 2nd half should be a a lot closer Also, hate to say it but DJ should probably be pulled. He’s clearly in pain
pancho
Harbaugh shouldn't have gone for it on 4th with 4 mins left

Dawg83
Michigan had several chances to put this away early and has let Washington hang around. We will see if UW can steal this one.
Dawg83
Barring a late miracle it looks like Michigan is going to win it all. Kind of a gross game to watch honestly. Very much a Michigan/Big 10 style game. Probably not as close as the score indicates, either.
MSTSatchmo
Penix probably had his worst game of the year. He was way off on a lot of throws. Especially when they had a few series to tie it up in the second half.

pancho
He better go to an NFL club with an excellent O line or the sore ribs will continue. I think he was 1 look due to being in pain most of the night.
