NoWammies
Fun fact that I shared on FB: Last year my wife and I were trying to decide on a cool name for our son that started with “S” during the OSU/Georgia game. Within minutes OSU’s Steele Chambers got a sack. We went with Steele. I still hate OSU but I root for Steele Chambers.
DrownInEtown
What a season for Mizzou. With only 2 losses to Jayden Daniels & Georgia and a win over Ohio State, I believe they have legitimately proved to be a SEC powerhouse Edited December 30, 2023 by DrownInEtown

They do have a bright future though since they’re the only state right now that allows in state high school players to receive NIL money while in high school if they commit to Missouri. Obviously this seasons success will be hard to top considering their previous success. But Looking at their schedule for next year, there’s a big possibility they finish with another 10 win Regular Season again. I can see them being a consistent 8-10 win season program for the next 5 years atleast
NoWammies
I def think they’re a playoff contender for years to come especially the way they have things setup. I just think powerhouse is a tad bit of an overstatement for right now. SEC has 2 powerhouses and they’ve earned that honor. I don’t consider Penn State a Big 10 powerhouse and that’s basically where I put Missouri at now in the SEC. They’re that tier 2 team on the verge of taking that next step. Gotta actually win the conference first before that powerhouse label.

Gotta actually win the conference first before that powerhouse label. I get your point. I agree with them being a tier 2 team along with LSU & OM. Will they ever be favored against Bama or Georgia? Doubt it. But they have a legitimate chance to beat either of them and could possibly put together an elite One-and-done team such as LSU did and win it all. I’m not projecting that to happen, (or to be as good as the 2020 LSU team) but there’s a possibility for them capture a natty if the stars align Edited December 30, 2023 by DrownInEtown
NoWammies
There’s no reason with their schedule next year that they don’t finish worse than 11-1. They quite possibly have the easiest SEC schedule of everybody. @Alabama is they’re only roadblock from an undefeated season. I’ve given my thoughts on OM next year and 10-2 for Missouri would be a disappointment as well with that schedule. They should be 11-1 playing in SECCG. Also gotta look at Texas’ which is weird to say and I hate to.
NoWammies
Just looked. Georgia has to go to Texas, Bama and Georgia. I’d say dang I feel for Georgia but I despise Georgia.
NoWammies
Just looked at everybody’s and as I throw up writing it I’m predicting… Texas vs Missouri SECCG Idk how tiebreakers work but I have Texas undefeated in conference and Missouri losing to Bama, Ole Miss losing to Georgia, Georgia losing to Bama and Bama being upset @ Oklahoma. Without the upset Texas vs Bama
Bulldogs4
Certainly a great win for Mizzou. And a great season at 11-2. They very well could have beaten LSU. That was one heck of a game. Played tough at Georgia as well. But projecting them to be 11-1 in the SEC in 2024 is a bit of a stretch. Or even 10-2. They are a very good team but next year they are going to have a target on their back and they are going to get everyone’s best shot. They are going to probably lose a game or two that they expected to win for that very reason. I will say 8-4 with a chance of 9-3 and an outside chance of 10-2. Dawg83
Yeah I too am hesitant to crown Mizzou just yet. The Ohio State team they beat last night was a shell of itself. Outstanding season for them and similar to Ole Miss, they appear to be poised for a big 2024. But I’m not convinced that they’re some new powerhouse for years and years to come. Bulldogs4
Well uggggghhh… not a good start by Ole Miss three plays with a loss of three , incomplete pass and all an almost interception…
NoWammies
Not to mention Dart is now hurt.
Bulldogs4
Ole Miss needs to crowd the box. 6 in the box is not going to get it. Trust your CB’s to play Man and stop the run.
NoWammies
I’ll take just giving up a FG there cuz that def looked like what was gonna be a TD drive.
Bulldogs4
Great play calling by PSU for Ole Miss by calling two pass plays there… If they had kept running the ball it would be 7-0 Nice break for OM. Hopefully the offense will settle down now and remember how to block.

Penn State looked good on the line that drive, but FGs won’t cut it against OM’s offense.

Dawg83
It’s early but to this point it’s been a total mismatch at the LOS.
Bulldogs4
Ole Miss got royally screwed there. Should have a TD Then that should have a PF on PSU on the center for OM. Pathetic officiating. Must be B1G refs.
