Petal has enough athletes and facilities to attract top talent. Just got to see how motivated the school administrators are to make football a priority and up the supplements to pay for a top coach and staff. The only reason they made it that one time to state is they had a once every 30 year type player and 6A that year was like 5A this year. People at petal letting their jealousy of oak grove driving their thought process. Couldn’t handle oak grove got a nice stadium so they built a bigger one with fancier stuff to say they had something over OG. And can’t fill that thing to half capacity 98% of the time. Petal needs to pay him whatever it takes and allow him to hire his own staff. My oldest will be in 9th grade next year and I would love for him to play for Coach Causey. They need to get it done. They'll probably want to run the spread like the big, new, and modern 7A schools like to run, so they'll need to get someone to align with that offensive philosophy. Stockstill isn’t leaving the coast after being there only 1 year. The former taylorsville coach that’s at sumrall or seminary (I forget which he went to) might be a good choice.
