What team who hardly ever has a winning season or rarely makes the playoffs has a chance to possibly have a good season? Good can even mean finishing at .500 or above and not making playoffs in some cases. I dont see that happening being that some teams go 2-8 and do make the playoffs. Gotta think PRC should be able to push into the playoffs again, but I know Long Beach has some decent talent this year (comparatively) so maybe they surprise some folks. For NEJ they moved up from 4A to the soft cuddly pillow that is 5A south. SJ did loose an important piece to petal. But either could make a surprise playoff run. Circle that one on your calendar because they've got to win that one right out the gate. If they do, they give themselves a chance. For example: What is Michael King going to do at Hancock? There's also a new coach at George County as well and you can go on down the list. They've had there ups and downs with a young team but from what I saw last season, they competed and had a chance in every game besides Quitman. They can very well go into region play at 2-3/1-4 if they fall to West Lauderdale, Scott Central, and Raleigh. Leake Central should be a win. At Newton County should be a win pending which Cougar team shows up. I do belive they will be top 3 if not region champ. They can't get in a shoot out with Mendenhall as in years past.
