Stone hasn't lost a game since their QB came back from injury against Stanislaus.  Keep your eyes on them.  If there happens to be a Stone vs. Brookhaven matchup for 5A South State, it'll be a dang war.

None of them are good. I had to eat dam near a trick or treat size bag or tootsie rolls to stay awake when Wayne County played in Perkinston . The most boring,  great value brand of football I've seen since the 90's.  Two of Stones TD's came on recovered fumbles into the end zone. WC coach refuses to go after points until they are trailing. Stone County sucks . Just like they have always sucked. The good teams have just fell back to their level.

I'm really exhausted with the lies  and excuses trying to cover for this crap. K-Dawg , you are a disgrace and sound like a bufoon. Your hands are as dirty as the next one up there because you have chose to not rock the boat.  " It's not the coaches fault, the kids are just making the same mistakes. " Wayne County doesn't have the same number of athletes they used to have " Where are they ? Basically the same number of students. Is it only girls coming in from the JR highs now ? You know the problem just like anyone that used to come out and see the games but have quit going. Fifty people in the stands for home games. So tell the truth or quit making crap up because you think the man with the keys to the building is listening. Going all the way back to the Sims kid in year one of this crap any back that showed promise has been run into the ground and hurt. Where's the best one now ? Will he ever play again ? The Morgan kid. Admit it . You won't because , well I know why. Gloating over wins against East Central, Vancleave and Purvis, lol. Who needs film because they are going to do the same think every week. Enough ,enough. What's the purpose of having a football program at this point ?  Look at all that money spent on everything there for what ? They could use the stuff out at Beat Four and get the same results.

 

A coach that knew how to develop a QB and receivers would run through everyone down here. You got coaches saying out loud they only have to win one district game to get in the playoffs. Wayne County could make it all the way to the title game. All it does it speak to the state of decay of  this once strong class. None of them could even make it past Gautier last season . They were no better than they were the last twenty years. Again, everyone else just fell back to their level or moved up in class . Which is further indictment on this crap they call good football in Wayne County now.

Another thing. I was fine to let things be until they started blaming the kids and lying to cover for a coach that is better suited for another level of it.

Once the playoffs start I may try to make a few games again but I have no expectations the brand of football will change. Stone County, LMAO

5A south is runts from 4A and some poorly coached mids from old 5A .

They have 40ish seniors on top that.  Whoever makes it from the south  congratulations on being the runner up.  They could finish the year with wins over the 3a, 4a and 7a state champions.

You asked Vott. Well here it is. Hattiesburg looks to be getting stronger every week BTW.

 

It's got to be said. 

This is the third or fourth RB that has been run into the ground and hurt the last four years or so.It's happened so much I lost count. WC kids are tough and will run through a brick wall. Always have. These people have taken advantage of that . I'm the only one saying it. I won't forget it either. 

Another milestone  for you there porkrind.  Wayne County hadn't lost to Northeast Jones in thirty years. Congratulations . You did it man.

Little over a minute left. Down seven trying to get the ball back with one timeout. They run out of bounds. YOU call your LAST timeout  with the clock already stopped for that. They run two plays and the game is over. It's hard for me to believe he can't or anyone else on that staff see the error here.ENOUGH.ENOUGH.  Shut the whole program down, cover everything up and lock the dam doors . Like a dead persons room. Leave it for when someone comes that is trying to win and not cruising to becoming vested with his BFF who hired him. 

These are the kind of people responsible for people like myself not hanging around. We have to leave our roots and go somewhere else to make a comfortable life. All the while they sit on their fat cheeks and contribute to the problem. Waiting on something they don't deserve. I wish I could curse on here. As a matter of fact I do curse them . I curse them with the gift of vision so they can see their selfishness while touting the complete opposite . Crazy how weak 5a is. West Point has hardly any real competition in both the north and south. Unless they get some extra students to move up they’ll continue to cakewalk to state titles for quite some time.

6A isn't much better with so Picayune and Pascagoula looking like the only threats in 4-6A (Gautier has seriously regressed and were little better than air last night against Pascagoula).

 

It's discouraging sitting thru game after game of opponents whose administration obviously has no expectation of winning and allows such a substandard level of coaching.  And it's prevalent across the coast and throughout south MS.

I think Gautier's regression has more to do with them moving up to 6A more than anything. Their region the past 2 years were pitiful at best. Had they been 6A, they would have most likely been fighting for a playoff spot. They are definitely down and young, though.

There are a bunch of “legend” level coaches starting to retire and there are not nearly as many good or even great coaches to fill those spots.  Some teams are winning on their kids talent level alone more so than coaching.

I saw some petal people raising hell wanting coach fired for them getting beat last night.  Looking at Northwest rankin almost every game this season was decided by 3 points. They had some upsets.  But petal fans blame the coach.  Not realizing they are 3/4-6 and sitting home if not for him.  They forget how pitiful they were after he left them the first time.  They are totally screwed when he goes. 
 

The best coaching job in south MS right now, all classes, is Bilderback at Columbia.  If he were to leave them (probably not likely) he will win wherever he goes.  
 

Picayune and Oak Grove coaches are also top notch in the current group down south.  Up north it’s West Point, Louisville, Grenada and Tupelo coaches.

this is what i see too . i can usually see trends playing out a good time before they happen but i never saw this coming. It seems like going to 7 classes really magnified it because that’s when i saw the dropoff.

Where are all the good young coaches? Have all our talented ones left the state?

You know i have been highly critical of what yall had going on over there but they got this one right. Whoever brought this guy in knew exactly what was needed. Vance did things different so it wasn’t going to be easy . 

After starting off rocky he looks to have  gotten his legs under him and the team is gaining momentum. He doesn’t blame the refs or  resort to antics when things aren’t working out. . He is a come from behind kind of guy. I think he is a good one.

There is a problem.

Lacey is the epitome of a modern day old school coach. Which is actually crazy to say because of his age. The kids and fans has taking a huge liking to him.

He’s been a head coach 1 year.  Too early to rate him. 
 

But keeping most of the assistants from Vance on staff, with their knowledge of the kids has sure not hurt.

He only has 2 assistants from last yr. The others got offensive/defensive coordinator jobs or assistant head coaching jobs at other schools this yr
