Lol, you guys are overreacting. Kids move all the time. Just so happens that two big names did this time around.

C’mon Dub, I don’t think this is necessarily an overreaction.  I mean could it be?  Possibly, but when you look at the Gautier receiver transferring to Saraland, it seems kind of strategic.  I don’t know if that’s the case with the (now former) George County QB or not, but when these guys are key cogs within the football program that they depart from, it just seems business like.  How are these so called deep roots getting plucked up?  It’s perfectly ok to question things Dub, because if you don’t how do you get any answers?

Two of the states top prospects have now transferred out of state in just the last couple of weeks.  Is this a trend that will continue?

I actually think this will be the trend. We already see it happening in the Jackson area with Public to Private schools. I could see this new NIL package move kids to different areas to help "grow" the athlete closer to where they plan on attending college.

This NIL stuff is going to hurt high school football in our state. I do not believe our state allows high school players to profit off of NIL which will be a driving factor in some of these kids leaving in the future. These private trainers and 7 on 7 coaches are going to be driving these kids to places they can get NIL deals and all. It is going to turn into the wild wild west very fast I am afraid.

I totally agree with you they get exposure at these national 7 on 7 competitions. Then money gets involved from outside sources such as NIL, I don’t think it’s an overreach at all. The same thing is happening in baseball with the travel ball teams and has been happening in basketball for years.

All the parents have to do is tell these 7vs7 coaches and these NIL people is to stay away from my child. When he gets to be in college then they can talk to him.

What parents see is money, money, money! There's not too many parents going to tell someone involved with sports, football and baseball in particular to  stay away from their kids when it involves money for playing!

With baseball, parents more worried bout that money and not thinking about the long run with your kid arm getting worn out and possibility of TJ surgery by time he’s midway through college.
