maroontide06
Poplarville didn’t quit. They played hard all the way till the end. Great win for Poplarville. Those games against Mendenhall and Columbia got them ready for Louisville.

Didnt Tupelo get caught using players they moved in or something earlier this season ? why didn’t they get disqualified from postseason? TCPS or Tupelo Christian Prep was involved with those players. And they did get banned from postseason play that season and ended up with the coach being let go.

slicklizard
Vance forced his son into being the main focus of their offense from the first series and didn’t really try to involve their skill players . His ego envisioned making him MVP and multiple highlight reels. He deserves every bit of the criticism coming his way. He can’t get over the hump because he is not a good coach. He had no answer when Grenada figured them out halfway through the first quarter.. Ever since he came on the scene down here I couldn’t stand him. Hell, nobody outside of there does He’s the perfect Hattiesburg Tiger. this is mst tonight 1 1

One of the best men and coaches the sport has to offer. He has won championships at Grenada, Lafayette, Pillow Academy and multiple at South Panola with Ricky Woods. A lot of people don’t realize this either but Ricky Woods is our Offensive Coordinator.

He hinted that he did after 2020 and 21 when their seasons ended as they did. He said it after 22 ended. And flat out was in the bus after 23. He got caught up in the spring practice praises of others and got distracted from the truth. And then as season went he bought in. Now it’s back to reality. Despite all the raw talent, and they are loaded with it, something just doesn’t click between it and the way Vance coaches.

Coaches can’t make excuses about officiating and bad calls and expect the kids not to make excuses when they catch bad breaks. Kuhn was the same way at Grenada with better talent than is there now. He spent half the game arguing with officials and at the first sign of adversity his teams would fall apart.
