So you think Wesson is better than both Mize and Raleigh… and you think we score less points against them Loyd Star or Bogue Chitto. Lol. Ok

For those keeping track with this game, it was a defensive game all night. Raleigh led 6-0 at the half, scoring on a drive in the 2nd quarter where we had gotten a 4th down stop but a roughing the passer call extended the drive. Mize took the lead early in the 4th quarter and led 7-6 with 6 minutes to go in the game. We were backed up on our own side of the field and rolled the dice on a trick play and unfortunately it ended up in a pick 6 for the Raleigh defense. Their last score was also set up by what was almost another pick 6 near the end of the game that was returned to the 1 yard line. The 18-7 score was nowhere near indicative of actual game. It was a nail biter. If we don’t throw the pick 6 midway through the 4th, Mize very likely wins 7-6. Neither offense was moving the ball. I figure both teams will have similar total yards for the game. Good defensive battle. Raleigh has a very good defensive line.

The best team they have played so far is Loyd Star. Not saying they won’t have any offensive success at all, but they won’t score their average this next week.

Heck of a game. Raleigh’s defense just made one more play than ours did.

That’s not quite true. People, including myself, have said that Raleigh is going to be down compared to LAST SEASON, which is absolutely true. And they have said that because a lot Raleigh people had been saying Raleigh was going to be just as good this year as they were last year, which was silly. Most everybody said Raleigh was still going to be good, just not as good as last season. And they all are right about that

What in the world going on up in here? I’m still scared of Enterprise from last week. I don’t need anything else to be scared of right now.

Enterprise finished with 76 total yards last week, and that’s even after they broke about a 40 yarder late in the 4th against the backups. They need a game like this one this week against Clarkdale.

Well according to that rule, both players will be out this week. Miller was ejected in the 3rd quarter and the other kid was ejected in the 4th quarter

I think can return sometime in the 3rd quarter. That’s when he was ejected last week. I’m not too privy to the rules. I thought ejections were just for 4 quarters

Oh yeah I forgot all about that. And one of them is Miller, their really good defensive end. I’m changing my prediction now. Clarkdale 28-21

Raleigh is still good on defense. Not what they were last year but very solid defensively

It’s their homecoming if that tells you anything. There’s a reason they scheduled mize for homecoming. They know they got it in the bag

What’s funny is that you actually really do believe what you are saying.

Yes… because we had 3 first half turnovers. Including one from the EC 10 yard line. And it wasn’t from good defense, it was on the snap and on the QB/FB exchange. It was self inflicted turnovers. Had we protected the ball, the halftime score would have been 21-0. At no point and time was EC ever in the game: you literally had no first downs until late in the 4th quarters when we subbed out the starters, other than one that you got on a roughing the punter

There is a need for officials to referee youth football games on Saturdays. You officiate 4 games, from 9am until about 3pm. That’s 6 hours or watching little kids play football and just making sure they play by the rules, and you make $160. That’s roughly $26 an hour for refereeing 5-12 year old kids. Comment if you are interested

We had 350-400 yards of offense with 3 turnovers. I wouldn’t say you’re playing well defensively. I would say y’all are playing hard defensively, but if we protect the ball yesterday we win 35-0.

I’m expecting a close low scoring game

All fans solutions are to just up and change the offense. As if you can just do that at any time. lol

I feel much better about our chances now

Our “little QB” did not have a good game through the air, but he did rush for a lot of yards and 2 touchdowns. He did fumble twice though in the first half, the first one when we were about to score our 2nd touchdown. Got to protect the ball. Enterprise caught some big breaks last night with our turnovers. They didn’t move the ball at all, and had zero first downs against the defense until the last drive of the game. But they didn’t have any turnovers at least.

Mize doesn’t say that. Raleigh says that. And they have said it for weeks now. Raleigh has played a little better defensively but I wouldn’t say Raleigh has a “much better” defense. We match up better defensively with Raleigh than we do a team like Tville. Offensively I think Mize has been a little better so far after 3 games. I expect a close game with not a ton of scoring
