I think Raleigh and Loyd Star are the only teams in their districts that make it out of the 1st round.

They lost to Bogue Chitto dude. And Raleigh led 47-12 at halftime. Collins is better than Puckett. Those are the only two teams they have played they don’t have a losing record, and Bogue Chitto is 4-4 and trying to avoid being the 4 seed in their region next week. The rest of their opponents have an average record of 2-7. They won’t make it past the 1st round unless collins just doesn’t show up. But Collins is prone to have games where that happens.

They aren’t spectacular against the run. But they aren’t bad against it either. Puckett has played two teams with an actual pulse all season… really maybe only one. And that’s as Raleigh. The next best team they have played is Bogue Chitto and they lost that game too. If collins beats them, I won’t consider that to be an upset. Collins is better, but Collins also can play down to their opponent.

I think Heidelberg beats Collins and I think they actually beat them pretty soundly. I was much more impressed with Heidelberg than Collins. They are very similar in a lot of ways, but Heidelberg plays harder and gives more effort from what I saw. The issue with Collins, at least from what I saw in their game against Mize, is that their players play both offense and defense like most all other smaller schools. And they pass the ball so many times that their WR’s are gassed when it comes time to play defense and they use their time on defense to take breaks. They give much more effort when they are on offense than they do while on defense. I think Heidelberg actually makes a statement and beats Collins kind of soundly 35-14. Collins will beat Puckett in round 1 of the playoffs though.

All the 1 seeds are set. And I think all 1 seeds advance to the 2nd round…. BUT……I could see Lake beating Loyd Star out of region 7. I think Loyd Star will pull it out in a close game, but Lake is more than capable of pulling the upset in that one. Region 7 is a pretty weak region.

This is probably the first true statement you have made all year.

We already knew that. If y’all were playing the Dallas Cowboys we would still know you would pick Enterprise to win. Enterprise is capable of upsetting south pike, but it’s not likely. Their coaching staff should be commended for having the season they have had, especially without Sims.

Mize clinches the 8-2A region championship with a 43-13 over North Forrest. We got to play the JV the 2nd half.

Enterprise was up 21-8 at one point in the 3rd.

It was a post about one of his players getting player of the week, and his last sentence said they “will show this Friday that NF is legit back”.

North Forrest head football coach posted on his Facebook page that they were going to beat Mize this week.

Lol. We count our lucky stars everyday. We all know you know exactly what you are talking about when it comes to football. Mize has played better than Scott central this season. And we have been pretty inconsistent and sloppy. Scott Central and Mize are both pretty similar in that we are good enough to beat anybody in 2A, but we aren’t good enough to have too many sloppy games.

Enterprise tied them 0-0 in the 2nd half. If they played them again today I bet they would win.

It was. It was back and forth all night. Our true freshman RB/DB had 3 interceptions tonight, and broke off a long game clinching touchdown run to win it.
