Taylorsville may be the favorites next season, and maybe even the next year. They have a really good sophomore group. Their junior group is decent, and the QB is a junior. Their 9th grade isn’t very good, but they aren’t completely terrible. Their junior high is horrible. Their junior high is in a 6 team conference with our junior high. Bay springs is in the conference with us too and the junior high was even worse. But bay springs JV is pretty good.

Mize was better this year by later in the season, but not in week 1 when we played Tville. Velma Jackson returned their entire team that played for 2A south state last year. Nobody has caused them to break a sweat all season. And Resurrection scored 13 when VJ was already up 40-6. Nobody has scored more than once against all of their starters. This will be the best team Tville has played all year. Better than Raleigh and better than Bay springs

Any other year, this Tville team would win state. But not this year.

Taylorsville will not come close to scoring that much. They will score twice. Maybe. That game won’t be very close.

I Have heard he was punched between the legs on previous plays. The video that I saw that shows him kicking the player, he wasnt. The Pascagoula player had his ankle wrapped up and wouldn’t let go.

That was his 2nd unsportsmanlike penalty. It’s not likely to be overturned. I saw the video where he kicked the Pascagoula player. They weren’t twisting his ankle like people were saying, but they were holding on to his ankle and not letting go. He got frustrated and kicked the player for not letting go of his foot and got his 2nd unsportsmanlike called on him. It does suck for him but at the end of the day he’s got to be smarter because he chose to dig himself a hole by getting the first unsportsmanlike penalty. There is no room for error after that. If I were a player, I would have been doing everything I could to get a player to get another penalty after they got their first one. You got to be smart and keep your emotions in check.

And even those score may be too much. I don’t think a lot of points will be scored

If Heidelberg can protect the ball, I’m going to say Heidelberg wins 20-14. If Heidelberg has multiple turnovers, I’m gonna say Raleigh 22-14.

I honestly don’t know who is gonna win this game. If they protect the ball and don’t turn it over, I’m probably going to go with Heidelberg. Heidelberg has one of the better defenses in 2A that nobody talks about. Their game against Mize is the only time anybody has moved the ball against them. Nobody else has, not even Quitman and not bay springs. Their offense is very good but ONLY when they protect the ball. Their losses were to quitman, bay springs (had 10 turnovers), and Mize (had 3 turnovers). This will be another defensive game. If Raleigh wins it’s going to be from a heroic effort from their defense. Whoever wins, I think it’s going to be a low scoring close game.

No it shouldn’t. I watched the game. Neither team could move the ball. Raleigh’s defense was just far superior and constantly gave Raleigh’s offense good field position, and Scott Central still held them in check. Eventually SC was going to wear down because their offense could do nothing. It went exactly how I expected it to go. Next week is going to be interesting though
