If Heidelberg beats Mize, and Collins beats Heidelberg, then that would leave Mize, Heidelberg, and Collins in a 3 way tie all with one district loss. Assuming Mize also beats NF and Richton in the final 2 games. If Mize beats Heidelberg, then barring back to back weeks of a huge upset they will be region champs again.

Region 8: If Mize wins tomorrow night, that should essentially wrap up #1 seed in region 8. Heidelberg and Collins would then play for the #2 and #3 seed next week. If Heidelberg beats Mize tomorrow night, then Heidelberg would be the 1 seed and Mize the 2 seed, unless Collins were to beat Heidelberg which would then throw it into a 3 way tie. A tiebreaker scenario would then determine the seeding. Richton and North Forrest duke it out for the 4 seed. Richton appears to be playing better ball than NF right now, but either of those could win. Region 7: If Loyd Star beats Bogue Chitto tonight, they essentially will wrap up the 1 seed. Barring any big future upsets, Amite County would then be the 2 seed, followed by Bogue Chitto at #3. West Lincoln/Wilkinson winner would be the 4 seed. Region 6: Raleigh is the 1 seed. Barring any upsets, Puckett will be at #2. Pelahatchie at #3, and St. Andrews at #4. This is the weakest district in the south. Region 5: Bay Springs has wrapped up the 1 seed. Scott Central and Clarkdale will duke it out for the 2 and 3 seed tomorrow night. Lake will likely finish 4th unless they were to upset Scott Central in the last game of the season.

You are lucky we had one of our sloppiest games of the entire season when we played y’all. You finished with around 75 yards of total offense for the entire game, and actually had less than 25 yards of total offense before the last drive of the game when we put in all the young guys. We had over 400 yards of offense. It would be much worse if we played you now or in November.

Mize and Heidelberg square off this week in what could be the district championship. If Mize wins then they essentially lock up the district championship. If Heidelberg wins, the only thing that could stop them from winning the district would be a loss to collins. If that were to happen, there would be a 3 way tie between those 3 teams.

It doesn’t matter if noxubee takes enterprise lightly. There is no scenario where enterprise beats noxubee unless noxubee chooses to only play the JV. And even if that happened they may still would win.

Once a team is up 35 points, the game goes to a running clock and the leading team is automatically granted a win. Doesn’t matter what quarter the game is in

We aren’t as strong against the pass as we are the run, but we did have two starters out on defense last night and lost another starter right after halftime. We should be full strength next week though.

The bracket is very favorable for bay springs. They honestly may not be challenged that much in the playoffs until south state.

You would be incorrect. Velma is better this year than last year, and they were good last year. They will dominate 1A similar to the way bay springs did last year. They would likely be the 2A favorite this season had they stayed in 2A.

They have #1 at QB now and I don’t think they did to start the season. The Raleigh game wasn’t a “fluke”, Raleigh outplayed them. But it was a close game. It’s two evenly matched teams, IMO.

Like others have tried to tell you multiple times, you can’t figure out football just from looking at box scores. Our QB did not throw a pick 6 against Raleigh. Our wingback threw a pick 6 on a trick play. Our QB has thrown maybe 3 picks all season.

Personally, I think it depends on which Mize team shows up. Honestly, I think we have only played good in 2 games this season, Mount Olive and Raleigh. Other games we have played good for a half, but not for a full game. If we don’t clean up the turnovers and the penalties, it’s going to be extremely hard to beat collins. If we play clean ball, I like our chances.
