Tville and Lumberton are definitely the two favorites in the south. If they have adjusted their offense to be more power oriented that’s a good move, IMO.

Tville’s issue is offense and depth. North Forrest was a lot like Tville, they lack depth. I don’t know if that is an issue for stringer or not, but Tville has a really good defense. They just get worn down in the 2nd half of their games. I think this will be a close game, but I have no clue who wins. If the game was at stringer I would probably go with stringer.

The only team in 2A south, and maybe even all of 2A, that has a tougher schedule than Mize is Heidelberg.

That’s also missing Lamar academy, who is probably the 3rd best team we play all season after Heidelberg and Raleigh.

This is the weakest I can ever remember 3A south being. I think it’s basically Raleigh and seminary. We will see how JDC ends up at seasons end. I have a feeling come playoff time they could be hitting their stride.

As usual, you’re wrong. Raleigh is equal to or better than south jones. Every single one of our non-conference games are tougher than yours, and it’s not close. It’s not even in the same stratosphere

The more I consider this game, the more I tend to lean towards Tville winning this game at home. And for two reasons… one reason, Tville will be at home. And the other reason, Tville has played a much much tougher schedule than Stringer. I expect a low scoring game either way.

Lol. That’s not how strength of schedule works dude. It’s not determined on a week by week comparison. It’s the entire schedule as a whole. I don’t know if you are aware of this, but since we are in the same district, our district schedule is exactly the same. Yes, you do play Heidelberg this week. And guess who we play next week….. that’s right, Heidelberg. Our non conference schedules are night and day different. Your non-conference schedule is Taylorsville, South Jones, Union, Stringer, SE Lauderdale, and North Forrest. Our non-conference schedule is Taylorsville, PCS, Magee, Raleigh, Newton County, and Lamar Academy. Raleigh > or = South Jones Lamar > Union PCS > Taylorsville Newton Co > Stringer Magee > North Forrest Taylorsville > SE Lauderdale There is no comparison to be made bro. Everyone of our non-conference games are tougher. It’s not even close.

The worst team we will play all season is Taylorsville. We have arguably the 2nd hardest schedule in 2A after Heidelberg. We will be more battle hardened than Enterprise will.

Boy I wish we had an open date. We had multiple players out last week and still have some out this week, and probably will have some out next week as well.

I’m a double wing guy, but the wing-t is my next preferred choice. And yes, it’s all dependent upon the skill set that you have player wise. The vast majority of fans want to see the ball in the air all the time, but just being completely honest, the vast majority of fans are really stupid and ignorant when it comes to football. Even the ones that were good athletes in high school that “THINK” they know what’s going on simply because they were good players 10-20 years ago. Unless you have at least TWO good receivers, spreading it out and trying to throw it around is a waste of time. And even in a spread, most teams are still going to be run-first, or even heavy run. Mize runs a spread, but we still run the double wing as well. And we have about to same amount of success with one offense as we do the other.

Enterprise doesn’t have the athletes to throw the ball much. The system they run is perfect for the players that they have, and it gives them the most opportunity for success.

Should be a good game. Don’t know who wins. I will say stringer wins in a close one, but if Tville can get some offense going they are capable.

This just ain’t true. Tville has gotten some good teachers the last couple years. There’s only so much they can do. The problem with Tville is the community… or better yet, the adults. The students have just been bad. There’s no accountability at home. Consolidation ain’t coming to smith county, but I wouldn’t be surprised if eventually in a few years Taylorsville becomes an elementary and middle school only, and then they split between mize and Raleigh once they get to high school.
