If mize cannot stop putting the ball on the ground, we will lose again next week and be at home for the playoffs. We just can’t stop fumbling.

If Mize loses next week they are out of the playoffs and enterprise is the 4 seed. If Mize wins they are the 3 seed. Bay springs has clinched the 2 seed

I have spoken to Carter a couple times. Dude is a great guy. And his team this season was one of the classiest I have ever seen.

Well I know that’s not accurate because I know some people that applied for that job. And yes they have always had talent. Right now, they have it at every position. They do graduate 17 seniors after this year, but their best 2 or 3 players overall are juniors.

I think this will be the 3rd best defense we have faced after Heidelberg and Raleigh. Newton county had a really good defense too. But I really do think we will be the best team bay springs has played so far this year. We are better than every team they have played so far. If we protect the ball, and don’t turn it over, we can be really good. There is nobody left on our schedule that is as good as who we have played so far outside of taylorsville. That don’t mean we can’t be beat, because we definitely can be beat if we turn the ball over like we have in several games this year. And we are not very healthy right now. We have ALOT of injuries to key players. But outside of Heidelberg, our biggest competition is ourselves. I really do believe that.

I don’t understand how a 2A team can look like this Heidelberg team. I was on the field after the game we played with them and shook hands with their whole team. They look like a 6A or 7A team. We have a good team ourselves. Personally, I think we are the 2nd best team in 2A south. And they beat us 50-0 and it could have been worse. It was 30-0 at halftime. I don’t understand how a 2A team can be that good. It’s the best I have ever seen. It almost makes you wonder if it’s all legit. They are on par with teams like Columbia and Louisville in 4A. If they played Noxubee county again right now they would destroy them. They wouldn’t beat West Point in 5A, but they could win 3A or 4A. They would win 3A south without breaking a sweat.

I told yall, Heidelberg won’t have another game that’s not a running clock. Not in the playoffs or state championship game

I doubt Mize scores 42 points against bay springs defense. The most they have given up all season is 22 points.

It was their best player, or at least who I think their best player is. If it’s season ending I hate that for him. He’s a pretty good basketball and baseball player too. Their QB has some good size and is a pretty decent player himself and they have 2 other decent backs. I think they best enterprise but it’s a rivalry game so anything can happen.

Oh I gotcha. Heidelberg can score 50 on bay springs if they want to. If they dont turn the ball over, they can score 50 on anybody in the south. I dont think they will have another game that’s not a running clock at some point.

Bay springs has too good a defense for that.

I heard this was a really good game. PCS led in the 4th and West scored twice and pitched a shutout the last quarter to win it. That wraps up the district for west now. PCS still has to get by Tylertown, which I don’t know if they will.

I just watched the enterprise and bay springs film. Definitely looked like Enterprise was trying to break in a brand new QB. Offense looked very sloppy, everything from the snap to the hand off, just very sloppy. Players running into each other. Defensively, didn’t look much better. Defensive line generates very little pressure. Just lacking playmakers this season compared to previous years. I will be very surprised if enterprise beats clarkdale. I know that’s a rivalry game, but I will be surprised if clarkdale loses that game.

We have had 8 injuries to regular players, 7 of them have been starters, and 2 of them are out for the season.

I’m willing to bet yall haven’t had the amount of injuries we have had.

Every team we have played on our schedule so far outside of Tville is better than everybody we will play the rest of way including playoffs outside of Heidelberg. We lost a lot of one score games to some good teams because of turnovers. We have not protected the ball all season. We also have been decimated with injuries. Even last night we still had 5 players out. We should have been 5-2 coming into last nights game but that’s part of football. I’m hopeful now that the brutal schedule will pay off the rest of the way.
