  1. I’m 100% convinced you are either a troll, or have absolutely no clue about football.
  2. JDC also fumbled which led to one of our scores. Mize also gave up a long touchdown pass on 4th and long that should have never happened. Both teams also had some defensive starters that were not playing. All in all, it was a good matchup. Mize had more explosive plays, while JDC was just steady and consistent moving the chains
  3. Mize had a light scrimmage in shoulder pads and helmets.
  4. I think enterprise goes 5-5 or 6-4
  5. Yeah we should get a good idea of what stringer will be after the next couple weeks
  6. You were a 3A then, now you are a 2A. 35-45 players on the roster is pretty average. And I doubt Lake has 59 players.

Well if the school where the player should be at doesn’t notify the mhsaa, won’t nothing be done about it.

Well the school where that kid should be at should report it to the MHSAA. If his family still lives in another school district, the kid cannot legally go to Heidelberg. Since you know a lot about collins, I’m going to assume you are talking about the kid from collins.
  9. I agree. Without that schedule he’s a 1000 yard rusher, not a 2000 yard rusher. And that’s still good. He’s a good player. And the thing is, he’s one of 3 good backs that LS has. They really are a 3 headed monster in the backfield.
  10. 1) You 100% got offended. That’s why you tried to make it about mize. 2) I don’t know how many times I can say he had a good game against mize. Your description of dump trucking mize is wrong. Again, he had 43 carries. Thats 2 or 3 games worth of carries for most other backs. He averaged 6 yards per carry. Again, that’s good. But it’s not great like you seem to think it is and it’s about 4 yards less per carry than what he was averaging coming in. And Mize did not come into that game with a “much-touted” defense. Last season was a mediocre defense for us at best. 3) They had to go into that game with a different game plan because there was no way they were going to line up and run it right at Raleigh. Mize actually had two runningbacks that rushed for over 100 yards against Raleigh. And nobody had thrown shade at the player. I have repeatedly said he’s a good back. His stats are just helped out tremendously due to playing one of the weakest schedules in the entire state.
  11. It’s really not. You got offended by a factual statement, so you tried to make the post about mize. He had 43 carries against mize and averaged 6 yards per carry. Again, that’s good. But it was well below his season average. The next week when they played the best defense they faced all season, he had less than 30 yards. The point is that his stats are padded due to playing an extremely weak schedule every year. That’s a fact. Sure he can have a good game against a good opponent, like he did last year against mize. But could he do that consistently playing against good teams? He wasn’t able to do it the very next game against a better opponent. And that’s the point. If they played a tougher schedule, he could not consistently rack up those kind of big numbers. He’s a 1000 yard rusher instead of a 2000 yard rusher. And that’s still good
  12. Which is exactly my point. It’s easy to rack up a 2000 yard season for a good back when you play the teams that they play.
  13. I don’t see them having trouble with clarkdale. Their defense looked pretty good against Raleigh in the spring. I don’t see enteprise beating them either but enteprise is capable of an upset.
  14. Thats good. But the fact is they played an incredibly soft schedule, and anytime a good RB plays bad teams every single week that player is gonna rack up on stats. What did he rush for the next week against Raleigh?
  15. Fall apart? They may not even be the favorite against Mize. I could see thinking BS is the favorite, but to have to fall apart? Nah. If anything it’s a toss up.
  16. Speaking of loyd star, maxpreps does not have their roster updated. Does anybody know how many players are on their team?
  17. Wesson returns some good players, but they lost some good ones too. Especially on the line. I also think Loyd star is maybe getting a little too much love honestly simply because of the stats their RB puts up against a lot of inferior opponents. I don’t think they have the depth to hold up against the best, but they will have another good season, they will rack up a ton of rushing yards, and they will give Wesson a much better game this year. I think Wesson beats them again though because I don’t think Loyd star matches up well against offenses like Wesson’s. I wasn’t impressed with Loyd star in the spring to be honest, but they were without their QB. They had a pretty dang tough lineman out there though, I think he was #67. My kind of player.
  18. The last two years, the only time Heidelberg has lost is when they have multiple turnovers in a game. Anytime they have not turned the ball over, they have won.
  19. Anybody can be beat on any given night. But Heidelberg will definitely be a heavy favorite every week, maybe even when they play Noxubee.
  20. I think enterprise can upset Scott central in round 1. If they were in that district I think they would finish 2nd but wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled off an upset and won it. They could upset mize or bay springs. But it would be an upset.
  21. There are fans at every school that say this exact same thing about their school every single year. Nobody, and I mean nobody, knows mize football more than me, and mize has not been the best 2A team in the state ever since they have been in 2A going back to 2005. Nobody was beating Scott central 3 years ago, nobody was beating Charleston 2 years ago and nobody was beating Heidelberg last year. The best teams won the championship every year the last 3 years. Was Mize better than Loyd Star last season? Yes, probably so. But they weren’t better than Loyd Star on that one particular night. That’s the way the game goes, it’s the way it’s always gone ever since the game was invented. But to the average Joe that has absolutely no clue about what’s going on, every loss will always be because of poor coaching. If you don’t believe that just ask enterprisebulldogfan.
  22. Enterprise will be good. If they were in another region they could possible win it.

If the parents move to another school district, then there is no foul. The issue is some schools, usually smaller schools, have a stud athlete that bigger school want to poach. So they contact the kid and get him to come “live” with some friend or relative in another district. An example would be a kid from Mize was recruited by an administrator at west jones high school a few years ago. They said the kid “moved” to soso and lived with his aunt. That was false. The kid lived in mize the entire time he went to school at west jones. That’s the kind of stuff these bigger schools have been getting away with that now some smaller schools are starting to fight back against. And unfortunately it’s causing some of these players to have to miss an entire season now.

If you move to the school, there’s nothing that can be done to stop a kid from playing. But a player just can’t go live with a coach or some random person just to go play sports somewhere they have been recruited to.

Lol. Sounds like your school got busted recruiting. Why can’t your own school just develop the players that are there instead of trying to poach kids from somebody else?
