They are worried about a retaliation type deal. I don’t blame bay springs for not wanting to play the game.

I don’t believe the football team should be punished. The school itself should be punished somehow for allowing that environment on school campus. I don’t think this is the first time there has been a problem like this there , but this was the worst.

PCS because they are at home. I hope you don’t have the same officials there that we had. PCS has a good offense, their defense plays hard but gives up a lot. They are good. This game right here “should” determine who wins the region but Tylertown could throw it into a 3 way tie.

No. They started out really good. Beat Heidelberg. Almost beat Louisville and West Point. Then the last 2 weeks has dropped way off

The situations at Leland and rolling fork happened off campus. The Heidelberg incident happened on school campus. That’s why it’s different. I honestly will be a little surprised if the school isn’t punished in some way or form. I definitely think tailgating for them is done.

I’m hearing bay springs has asked for a forfeit for the game with Heidelberg next week. Don’t know if it’s true or not. The only way I’m in favor of it is if bay springs gets the forfeit loss. You can’t give them a forfeit win.

I doubt you have really fixed anything. You are just now playing 1A teams, so you’re having more success. And players are getting more comfortable in the offense

Carter makes over $90,000 a year at Heidelberg. Going to be hard to poach him away, even the bigger schools.

No they won’t. Their 9th and 10 graders are really good. Their whole team looks physically dominant.

Something is going on with Noxubee. They got took to overtime last week against a not very good Philadelphia team. Don’t know if it’s injuries or something with team chemistry, but something is off

That’s right. They were undefeated that year. Their closest games were against East Marion (won by 3) and Mize (won by 21). Oh and FCHAS. And FCAHS was loaded that year in 4A

This Heidelberg team is easily in that conversation. They lost to a nationally ranked team by 3 on the road in Tennessee. They will steamroll everybody left on their schedule. I will be shocked if they don’t have a running clock every single game that’s left

Just saw where one of the suspects is an 18 year old. I’m assuming he’s a student, or was last year maybe.

Getting away from the tragedy for a second, Heidelberg’s team itself might possibly be, if not probably is, the best 2A team in history. I always had 1995 taylorsville and one of the Bassfield teams as the best 2A teams of all time. This Heidelberg team is easily in that conversation and they very well could be the best ever. They are huge and have so much speed. All of their skill players are huge. Their line is huge. They have speed everywhere. There is not a weakness at any position. I know they lost week 1 against Noxubee, but I honesty don’t think they would if they played again. I think they would win 3A and 4A. You do not see 2A teams like this but ever so often.

Heidelberg’s was definitely on campus. They had a huge tailgate party, and there were a lot of drunk people and you could smell the weed from a mile away. I will be surprised if the school doesn’t get in trouble for this.

A lot of drinking and smoking weed on campus last night. Rumors last night were 4 dead in Heidelberg but news is reporting 2 have been killed.

25-7 what I saw

Other than Raleigh every one of our losses has been one score, and the Raleigh game was actually more competitive than score indicated. We have played a very tough schedule, the 2nd toughest in 2A, IMO. I know we can Monday morning quarterback all day long, but if we aren’t so careless with the ball on offense we would be 5-1 right now. But we have been careless with the ball, and it’s caused us to lose these close ballgames against a lot of good teams, so instead we are 2-4. Even against Newton county we had multiple turnovers, 3 in the first half alone, but we were able to overcome them that night. But we have played a schedule that I think will benefit us come playoff time.

Union will be the best team they have played so far, IMO.

Clarkdale definitely. I heard they had a player or players transfer in from meridian that’s really helped boost them. Don’t know if that’s true or not. Either way, what a job by their new head coach.

One thing that will help enterprise this week is bay springs struggles on offense. But I watched the film of their game last week, and enterprise tackled very poorly. I don’t think Bay springs wins this game in a blowout, but I think they win it something like 28-14 maybe.
