JDC 29 Enterprise 6 right now
-
Considering most of the time your 1A/2A/3A South champion is located a short drive away.
-
Never count out Mancuso. What if they finish 3rd/4th in Region 8 and play 2nd/3rd Enterprise in Round 2. He will out coach your coach again.

An alderman approached the Board of Supervisors about giving Mize their own supervisors and school board district. Currently they are served by 3 supervisors and 3 school board members. The 2020 Census population has shifted to: District 1 less than 3100 including Center Ridge, Vo Tech, Zion Haven serving all 3 schools. Dist 3 2700 plus South of the Railroad tracks from Saratoga thru Mize towards Taylorsville. District 4 2700 plus from the Scott County along 481 to the Cohay Creek south to railroad tracks at Mize. Appx 2800 +/- per district will be required to be even. My guess is bring District 3 north to include at least the city limits of Mize and loose population north and northeast of town to Taylorsville and Raleigh putting Taylorsville back in 2A and Raleigh back in 3A.

Ohio State AD Press conference

There are rumors that the SEC or SEC/BIG may go it along and form their super conference playoff set up. Reporters are putting it out. Sankey said he would not rule out further expansion. So there maybe something to this once rumored NFL like setup. That would be 6 or 8 divisions of 4/5/6 schools per division. Division winners and maybe #2's advance to 12 team/16 team playoffs. The Rose Bowl doesn't want to remove themselves from January 1 time slot 5pm CST. -

They should be improved, top 10 1A-3A No

Raleigh and Tylertown are top 5, West Marion and Taylorsville too high, North Forrest shouldn't be ranked

Tylertown and Raleigh

Raleigh, JDC, Tylertown are all better than Enterprise. Enterprise will not beat them on the road. Enterprise may beat them at home with some luck and refs from Meridian.

French Camp Elementary is part of Choctaw County School District. Piney Woods is a boarding school.

Travel might come into play especially TCPS
-
I think either a 1.35 or 1 5 was brought to the table years ago but failed. Then they put in I want to say a 20 radius around the private schools so they left. Partly because 20 miles extended across the river into Louisiana and Arkansas.

7A will not start until 2023 unless something changes at April meeting.
-
The handbook does say Classification numbers will come from MDE and will be 9-12 grades. My numbers are correct for both columns +/- changes between now and October/SPED counts.
-
After looking at the handbook, it's the responsibility of the director to place teams in classes and regions. Therefore Simpson County should petition the MHSAA as to what their intentions are prior to reclassification in the fall of 2022. If not then they will have to once the athletic director for the one school is hired. It's a matter of solving the issue with common since. We all know how that works. You just don't know how the committee and director are thinking at this point. My guess is: 2024 as 5A/6A if issue resolved 2024 as Mendenhall schedule 2024 as Independent schedule
-
My bad, the handbook says all girls OLA and St Stan all boys are doubled. No multiplier for the others.
-
Simpson County is the only district I am aware of that is consolidating. That will be opening in 2024. Unless the County decides to consolidate the athletics prior to opening the school then we will wait and see. I think there can be 1 year as an independent or play the Mendenhall schedule for one year. Mendenhall being the larger of the two.
-
Yes, they are doubled. St Andrew's is playing up 2 classes.
