Do you think that George County has a possible path to the play-offs? And if so, what do they need to do realistically to make that come to fruition.

Man this game is a tough one to gauge. Instinctively I initially want to pick Vancleave as the favorite in this game, but the unknown question is "Is Vancleave better than West Harrison?" I feel like if I had clarity on that particular question then I would have clarity on the outcome of this game. I honestly feel like this game could go either way and either team with a win wouldn't surprise me at all.

I also like the fact that you are giving Morgan a field goal in your score prediction. He certainly deserves one.

All of your points here are fairly spot on. I don't think we lose to Kentucky because frankly I feel like we are better than them and we should be. I also realize the Egg Bowl will probably be a toss up, but I think Leach gets his first win this year. We stand without excuses in both of those games.

I guess I'm a little bit curious, but what is going on at George County? Before the season started I never would have envisioned them sitting at 0-5 with losses to teams like Greene County and West Harrison. I feel like they'll probably get a couple of wins this year, but man I surely thought that when they made the move from 6A back to 5A that they would surely thrive and that hasn't been the case. I know we've got some George County posters here on MST and hopefully you guys can give your honest take on what is going on in Lucedale. Please feel free to share your insights.

Two of the best teams reside right here in Pearl River County. Poplarville is an outstanding football team and that 1940s offense that they run truly is a sight to behold if you can even see the football. I feel bad for the PA announcers and the play-by-play guys trying to call Poplarville’s offense. That’s a very challenging job.

I will have to say Poplarville’s offense was very refreshing to watch. It was so fast and you never knew where the ball was going. Jay Beech is doing an outstanding job there.

It must have been a garbage 🗑 bowl. And Laurel ended up sucking the least.

Back on Oct. 17, 2014 we played George County and won the game 63-62. I forget how many overtimes there were maybe like 7 or 8, but Dodd was content to kick the PAT all night. George County decided to go for two to end the game and they got stopped. I have a feeling the OT rules probably changed sometime after that.

Wow! A double overtime game. Those are extremely rare in High School Football. That must have been a good game to see. Those folks definitely got their money's worth.
