Hey, they brought their officials with them last week. I honestly don't know how they get away with it.

Wayne County needs to get after it on defense and put Irving on his back a few times. He's going to get his passes in, so why not blitz the whole night? I think y'all can keep him rattled if you can get to him and keep his feet moving. If you let him stand back there with all day to throw, that will be the recipe for disaster.

It will be. West Jones is the 2 seed out of region 3 and East Central is the 3 seed out of region 4. I hope y'all can put up a good fight down there in Gautier.

Mancuso has only gone 1 and done in the playoffs only twice when his teams have made the playoffs. 2005 @ Poplarville and 2020 @ Jefferson Davis County. His teams are built for deep playoff runs and this year looks to be like another one. There should be a good ballgame in Bassfield on Friday night.

I think Jans is a refreshing change for State and one that is needed. I like his blue collar mentality and I think he's a great fit for us.

As hot as y’all have been playing it would be a real surprise if Hattiesburg comes up on the short end of the stick come Friday. So “without” looking ahead, how will Hattiesburg stack up against Gautier? If I’m looking ahead, oh well. This will definitely be a slick10 primo matchup.

The million dollar question to this equation is can Hattiesburg beat Gautier? If we can get an answer to that we might know how things are going to shake out.

Well if Starkville is asleep and a 4 seed, then someone can just roll them off the bed without them knowing LOL! Just kidding though, their losses haven't been terrible they've just been to region opponents. As long as they don't start 0-1, then they have a shot to make some noise. That has the potential to be pretty scary.

That would be nice to see as well, but Poplarville looms out there. That's the only issue with that.

How is Starkville a scary sleeper? They play football just like everybody else does.

Just give it some time. That's big boy football in a big boy football region. No one ever said it would be easy there, but he has all the resources at his fingertips to be successful there. They've got plenty to work on and improve upon and I think they will.

Along this line, go ahead and throw Russell Mitchell at Germantown into the mix here. He's turning the program around there. He finished the season at 5-6 and finished 5th in region 2-6A standings. Things are getting better there for sure.

You might want to take your Lincoln back to the dealership and see if they can put some cool seal on the roof of that thing LOL!
