That was one crazy basketball game. The defense is spectacular, but we couldn’t buy a 2 pt field goal with good credit LOL! Great game by Deshawn Davis & Tolu Smith. I really like the competitiveness of this team and they don’t quit.

Hey that’s even better LOL!

High Tide Friday Night at 7:00! Roll Tide Roll!

Wow that’s some interesting news there. I honestly don’t know what to make of that situation since I’m not an Ole Miss fan but I guess we will soon find out.

In a way State is kind of at a crossroads in this game. If they go the victorious route and end the season (bowl game included) on a three game win streak there will be some huge momentum going into next season. If they take the other route I honestly don’t even want to imagine what will happen, but fans will have the right to be upset with the way this season has gone.

If State wins tomorrow they will have an identical record with Ole Miss and will get the tiebreaker in the standings. Who would have seen this coming two months ago? I realize State is an underdog in this one, but can Leach take advantage of the situation and pull off the upset? If he goes out there and lays an egg at the egg bowl, I think you might start to hear some clamoring from the fan base. If anyone needs a win tomorrow it is Mike Leach for sure. I just hope that State will go out there and play an inspired brand of football tomorrow night. If they do that I can live with whatever the results may be.

Well let’s hope that will be the case. Even if it rains Friday morning I think that will be ok as well. The front just needs to be gone by Friday evening. P’monia weather ain’t good for kids who like to come and sit and watch the game like adults. If y’all do come you are more than welcome to come sit on the home side. We also have pretty good concessions on both ends of the stadium. If you’re in the mood for BBQ, the football booster concession stand is good for that. If you want something more traditional like hamburger, sausage dog, hot dog, chicken tenders, boiled peanuts or French fries the Band Booster concession stand is good for that as well.

I think that the general consensus is that you’ll have Ocean Springs and Tupelo playing for the 6A State Championship. If things differ from that it will be a surprise to most if not all.

Even if it’s rainy and wet Friday night, ball security will be a key factor in the game.

Picayune better be practicing this week with cold and wet footballs if this is the case.

Well they do have the home field advantage in this one. If this game was in the Point City y’all would probably win the thing. If West Point wins this game it won’t be by a large margin. I know y’all routed Vicksburg in the playoffs last year, but here’s the thing. They haven’t forgotten that and will want to defend their home turf. I think the results in this one could be quite surprising, but won’t be surprising by the guys in the Vicksburg locker room.

I’m not trying to argue with you but Marcus High definitely showed some immaturity when we played them. That won’t have any bearing with the game Friday night and Picayune won’t be wide eyed or nervous either. This is the game that Picayune wants with the opponent that Picayune wants. The Tide will be ready for this game.

I agree completely. Road games aren’t easy in the SEC, but State can play well Thursday night if they choose to. We’ve seen this team play well and we’ve seen them play bad. They just need to block out the noise and focus on the past two years of unfinished business. The OM/Auburn/Lane Kiffin saga can also be a detraction for OM as well.

Well I think we knew we would see Gautier again so we knew it would wind up being a two game series with them. I think we will be ready Friday night.

South Carolina 63 Tennessee 38 Final What a score there!

Well you missed a great one last night. It was definitely a tale of two halves.

Yeah that’s a crazy stat that the scoreboard doesn’t indicate. South Carolina is putting on a rout against Tennessee. Did anyone see that coming?

Arkansas is still covering the spread so they definitely are still in great shape.

I think Arky just let OM score a garbage touchdown. This game has been over for a while.

Well we won State Titles in ‘11 and ‘13 and probably should have won it in ‘12, but we got beat by Goula in the playoffs. Which high school team do you follow?

Here’s the thing - Gautier is in uncharted waters. They’ve never made it to the 3rd round before, so hopefully that will work in our favor.

Yep I think Tennessee is toast. But the Maroon Tide is still alive. Have you ever seen the Maroon Tide play Dawg83?

And the personal foul by Otis Reese. They’ve definitely self destructed and now a pass interference by the Colonel Rebs.

And then OM just turned it over on downs with a 4th and goal pass to Malik Heath. I’m lovin’ it! LOL!

Our defense will definitely need to stand tall again and get after him. If we can get a takeaway or two, that will definitely help things out.
