You make some valid points here and I certainly don't think Meridian fans are scheduling championship parades at this point, but they needed a hire like this for their sake and for the sake of Mississippi High School Football in general. I know things at Meridian are a far cry from where they were, but if there's anyone that can resurrect a storied program like Meridian it's got to be Marcus Boyles. The man has won at a high level everywhere he's been and is there any physical hard proof evidence that he can't do it at Meridian? I'm sure he's bringing every piece of luggage he has to Meridian.

They beat Zachary 24-21 during the regular season and then lost to John Curtis by the same score in the 3rd round of the Louisiana playoffs. They look like they'll be a real challenge, but we will need that.

Well whatever deal they made with Coach Boyles was obviously good enough for both sides and today is a great day for Meridian Football. They are now relevant again and they should be.

I honestly have no idea what it is (maybe it's an epiphany), but something is telling me George County has a turnaround year this year. I know they've got the hunger to win and that's important, but I think the offseason will pay huge dividends for George County. Maybe you have a more realistic approach as to what they will do this year, but I certainly think Pascagoula and Hancock are beatable for y'all and am I crazy for thinking that or what?

Well Kliff Kingsbury is now available LOL! He probably wants to stay in the NFL (if at all possible), but part of me wonders if he would want to get back into college football to kind of recharge his career. I'm sure there's probably some NFL teams out there salivating at the mouth to get him on their staff in some form or fashion though, but who honestly knows?

Who knows. I’m like Bulldogs4 there. I’ve never heard of him before and I honestly don’t know what the infatuation is there. Maybe it’s the experience factor? But who honestly knows. It’s really up to Zach and who he wants at this point. If it takes some time to get this hire right then so be it. Well hopefully State can get someone else. I don’t think it’s a bad job if they find the right fit, but that will be the key for Arnett. This very well could have been a Jimmy Sexton leverage ploy from the get go.

Who is Murrah required to schedule since they are now independent? I just think they'd be better off disbanding their football program if they feel like they can't compete. If you are giving your players nothing to play for, you have failed them as coaches and teachers. There's nothing wrong with losing with dignity and winning with dignity, but giving your players no hope to achieve anything is a shame and a disgrace to them. You can also interchange Murrah with Jim Hill in this statement as well.
