Hattiesburg at Heidelberg at 7pm tonight. This may have the intensity of a regular season game.
-
So miss better sweep. They are playing the worse team in the conference
-
If you wanna see a spring game that may be played like a regular season game, head to Heidelberg Friday night. They playing Hattiesburg

Wayne County - 350K+ Let the healing begin, Bring back W. Taylor

Its just about impossible to notice a fan of an opposing team when you only see them once a year. But when you do recognize one individual fan out of thousands, you know that person was all in within the program. I didnt know him or even meet him, but every time Hattiesburg and Wayne Co met, I recognized him. Wayne Co has lost a good one for sure. -
Supposedly. Teams may not wanna play a spring game in the rain. If it were a preseason jamboree play in the rain for sure. Heavy rains expected Friday

So Miss probably will not host. Their RPI is about to take a major hit vs James Madison and GA Southern to close out conference play. Going 6-0 wont help them. But a loss or two would really be bad. I think to host they have to sweep JMU and GA Southern. They could possibly host if they do like last yr and finish runner up to coastal or perhaps win the tournament.
-
So which counties would you eliminate?
-
I think too much pressure was put on So Miss this season. Some calling for a potential 50 win season and not losing a conference series and then being a top 8 national seed. Baseball will humble you quick. Now there is even more pressure on them. A few more losses and the only way of being in a regional will be to win the conference tournament

I may be wrong but I think Boyles may be the HC and OC
-
An assistant at Petal makes waaaaaay more money than a HC at West Marion. WM is a solid 3a football team too.
-
Isnt there a stipulation that you have to be moved in 90 days before the next school yr starts? With school ending in mid may and beginning in early august thats only about 70days

Region 4 6a is going to be more interesting this yr. Picayune wont fall off at all, but how will Goula be without Sims on the sidelines for the 1st time in 15yrs and is PRC ready to be a serious threat to possibly get a home playoff game? Only question in Region 3 6a will Hattiesburg or West Jones be the region winner. BTW Region 4 winner gets homefield advantage all the way to south state this yr.
-
I am a little surprised to see you have Hattiesburg and West Jones over Picayune. Not surprised that one of them is in your top 2. I would think you had Picayune in there and Hattiesburg or West Jones being left out.

He was here thru Junior High. Went to PCS for a year and came back to Hattiesburg. His dad played at HHS in the 90s.
-
My main concern for Hattiesburg for the upcoming season is the defensive secondary.
-
Yes. Most of the Hattiesburg entire offense is back with the exception of Keys and Young
-
True. After they won back to back titles and Stockstill leaving they seem to have fallen off quite a bit
-
Hburg will play it just like last season. Varsity plays first half 2nd team/JV plays 2nd half

Hattiesburg at Heidelberg on May 15
-
I know its the total opposite from last season, but having 7 of your 10 games either at home or within a 30 minute drive is a really good made out schedule.
-
Never could imagine that a school like Moss Point which was the premiere football school in the largest classification at one time be playing in a class that features schools like West Marion and Seminary.
-
Pearl now becomes a challenge to West Jones and Hattiesburg in Region 3. Nothing changes in Region 4. Picayune, Pascagoula and the rest. Now if you are PRC or George Co which region would you rather be in? Do not figure in the travel. Just let it depend on who you would rather play

Since you are the guru of all this, please list the teams who will consist of 6a and 7a south in 2027.

I am not going to say he is the best, but Drew Granger at Sumrall may have done the best coaching job in 5A last season. Sumrall went 1-9 as a 4a school in Shannon White last season and Granger came in and went 7-5 after moving up to 5A. And they had 5A champion Brookhaven on the ropes until the last 5 minutes of the game.

So what will Region 4 6a look like
