It may have been something abnormal, but when Coach Vance was the A.D. at Hattiesburg after Dr. Trussell left, football made a deep playoff run, girls basketball won the 5a title (this was before 7a was created) boys basketball made it to state, baseball won the 5a title, boys track won state title and girls track was state runner up. Now I would not to be a HC and A.D. at the same time, but it can be done if you have the right person.

Hattiesburg dressed in the MSU dressing room. It was huge. Definitely big enough to put a tarp or some type of curtain up to let both teams use them.

The Warren Central QB was a John Rhys Plumlee 2.0. Not as fast of a runner as Plumlee was, but he was fast enough. I can see him following in the steps of his family and playing for the MSU Bulldogs May not play QB but he could see the field at maybe WR or DB just like the Hubbard kid did at Alabama. He should definitely be a preseason Dandy Dozen next season. Does he by chance play baseball? Or is he football only?

Dude, just out of respect for Warren Central, you have got to put them at NO.1 in your 6a poll. I saw their roster at the state championship game and they got a lot of talent returning.

That is true about the support from the Hburg people. One thing I can say about Petal HHS and OG is if one of them is playing for a state title you can bet the other two teams are hoping they lose. That has been going on for as long as I can remember. It stemmed mostly from back in the days when all 3 were more known for baseball than football.

As long as Hattiesburg and West Jones remain in the same 6a region, this game will be the biggest one on the schedule for both teams every year since it will pretty much determine the region champion every year. George Co might have a shot every now and then, Terry is fools gold and Jim Hill and Forest Hill are not worth mentioning

Not a bad trip overall. The ride back from Starkville to Meridian on HWY 45 was the worse. Other than that it was a good trip.

Wont be nearly as many as last yr, but it will be a decent crowd for a 3hr trip. If it was on Saturday it would be a great crowd. But the environment will have a different feel due to the size of msu stadium
