Just for a reply, would you rather have Pearl drop to Region 3 and have Jim Hill go north or Pearl go north and keep Jim Hill in region 3 for that for sure region win

Do not be shocked if Meridian wins this. It is Homecoming week at Petal. And unless your homecoming opponent is a really bad football team it has a recipe for an upset. That goes for any team playing a quality opponent for homecoming. Its the most difficult week of the season for a coaching staff. Senior night could be included as well.

The parent of a player who plays at South Jones told me this morning that SJ will be 6a next season. Good luck in that region playing West Jones Hattiesburg and possibly Meridian

Since becoming regional opponents this game has always determined the regional title. This should be another good one. Hattiesburg defense has been totally dominant the past 3 games mostly impressive vs George Co. (No offense to Jim Hill and Forest Hill). Gotta make sure they can get pressure on Tootie. Seems like he's been at WJ forever. Lol

Right now Brandon holds the tiebreaker due to points difference. Meridian could turn the region into chaos if they keep playing well.

Next week definitely determines where WJ will finish as they close out with Forest Hill the following week and they will win that one. Hattiesburg still cant officially claim the region as they still have Terry to play the following week. Region 3 is following the same script this season as it has the past 4 seasons.

Looks like Hancock is gonna get that no.2 seed and a first round home game. Picayune has the region locked up with a 2 game lead on everyone but Hancock but have the tiebreaker on them..

There's just some teams you play that you really feel bad for. I credit those players for Forest Hill for sticking it out, knowing every week they are gonna get beat pretty bad every game

Im sure it was culture shock to him when he got to Hattiesburg and saw how things are also ran around the state. For those who dont know, he came from one of the most successful high school programs in the country and probably a top 5 program in Georgia. (Valdosta High school)

Trap Game! With West Jones looming next week this one scares me. West Jones can look ahead all they want to. They have either Jim Hill or Forest Hill this week.

This would be a good fit for an assistant from a successful JUCO like EMCC Hinds or Northwest. A wannabe head coach has got to get an opportunity somewhere and PRCC while in a little bit of a lull right now could certainly get back to being in the JUCO top 25 on a consistent basis.

Just when I thought Natchez was serious about possibly getting the no.2 seed in Region 3 5a they decided to let the real Natchez team show up vs Laurel. Over the years, I dont know how many of you have ever seen Natchez play. But when you watch them come on the field for pregame warmups and then run out of the locker room right before kickoff they look as athletic of any team I have ever seen. And then when the game begins at times it looks like they are playing football for the first time

On a tiebreaker the max you can get is 12pts. So if you beat a team by 50 and that team you beat 50 comes to a tiebreaker it will say you only beat them by 12.

At this point it does. Everyone in 6a south just feels average at the moment. Hopefully if HHS gets by George Co this week more anticpaton can build up for the West jones game. In past years that game was already being built up weeks in advance.
