He makes a lot more money than people realize. He has already turned down other jobs to stay at JDC. I think once he’s done at JDC he will retire. Maybe he goes somewhere like Lawrence county or somewhere similar, but I just don’t see it. I don’t see any schools bigger than 4A willing to hire somebody who runs a wing-t offense. They also lost two close games to Poplarville and Columbia, and have also beaten Laurel who is a much bigger school. Seminary’s only loss on the season is to JDC. I guess kinda I was an assistant coach one season where we started single wing, and then went went zero dive and read option, and then 2x2 spread - it was obviously a disaster. One has to build on the talent available and be adaptable to maximize their potential. Sometimes you just don't have the cats, and sometimes coaches are just plain stupid. Vice004 Posted October 24, 2024 Share Posted October 24, 2024 Wayne County’s base offense is the double wing. He runs shotgun and few other formations but 75% of the offense is out of the double wing. Mancuso is a really good coach and would do fine at a bigger school.
