Unless there is a colossal upset, State is going to be 0-8 in the conference. Though at least offensively, we made some progress today. But the only way we will win a game is to score 50+ points. Though I’m not sure how much of it is actual improvement and how much is Florida being bad. There are some worrying rumors out there on the extent of Shapen’s injury…. If he’s out a while…. Boy this could get really really bad. As in you’re losing SEC road games 70-0 and it may be a challenge to beat UMass. I’m already expecting wholesale change of the defensive staff and probably defensive roster too. Lebby really misfired on his plan for that side of the ball. This is up there with Ron Cooper 2003 for the worst State defense I’ve ever seen. I am not even sure we will beat UMASS now. Tough blow for him and State as he had played relatively well this year in spite of our shortcomings. We are now certainly candidates for the ole Morton Salt Commercial… In other news, Tenner just manhandled OK. Not a big surprise either. They are really good this year. A drive was started by former Lafayette Commodore Brandon Turnage getting an INT and ended with former Oxford Charger JJ Pegues diving in for the rushing TD.
