Will she impact any of the games this Friday. I remember back in the day when I played weather was a part of it. (I know I sound like my Grandpa used to!) But, now a days the slightest little bit of rain or storm and games are moved up or back. I get so the fans can come watch and money, Blah Blah Blah, but some of  my greatest memories in high school playing where crazy weather games!

Well What do you all think, will this storm have any impact? Short practice weeks, games moved?

7AM TS Warning for Wilkinson and Amite

7AM TS Watch for Adams and Franklin

High Resolution radar is pushing the rain or eye of the storm from near Morgan City to Baton Rouge to Hattiesburg  to Waynesboro which is a change on the weather channel from last night. Safe to say all fields will be wet Thursday in South Mississippi.

Thursday games will likely be unaffected:

Forest Hill (1-1) at Murrah (2-0) (Hughes Field)

M.S. Palmer (1-1) at Byhalia (0-2)

Potts Camp (0-1) at Thrasher (0-2)

Shannon (1-1) at Pontotoc (2-0)

Shaw (0-1) at Rosa Fort (1-1)

Maybe the 1st one on that list. You never know about JPS.

Only thing thats a concern will be if this storm knock out power and if it does how soon will it be repaired and power is restored.

I could see some districts in south Mississippi getting out Thursday just due to the fact of high wind gust and spin up tornadoes. High wind gust can affect busses because they are top heavy. Also some southern school districts may get out around lunch tomorrow if winds are already starting to pick up.

Really just dumb to cancel those games. The sun will be out in full force tomorrow. Just a really dumb decision by those schools

I agree but I’m also not the one that would have to repair the field after they played on it. As far as weather goes, we’ve got 100% chance of rain all day here in Oxford and showers tomorrow as well. Not suppose to get any sun til Sat. We haven’t gotten any of the high winds they were calling for. Highest it’s been is 15mph.
