Rebel Bert
Confirmed by SB Live Mississippi that Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg will be leaving MAIS to join MHSAA. Probably due to the MAIS Reclassification mess. Now what class might they be in. Those numbers will come under the Parochial counting same as St Andrew's etc.
Rebel Bert
It's been in the works for 6 months. It's a done deal primarily due to travel. They will be most likely in class 3A for 2025-26.

choctawman
My grandson played at PCS his junior and senior year. I wish they had been in the Mhsaa them. I did not care for the MAIS.

Chunky6617
3A gonna be pretty stacked next season. Raleigh and Scott central are expected to move up to 3A, and possibly Collins. Morton is going to be loaded in a couple years, but they may be moving up to 4A last I heard.

Because in 1A thru 5A 1 vs 16, etc means Parklane travels to Magnolia Heights in round 1 as an example. There is no North and South.

Wcchaingang
I’m sure PCS gets kids from all around Forrest and Lamar counties. How will this work when they join the MHSAA?

They can pull from Hattiesburg, Oak Grove, Dixie(FCAHS), maybe Petal, Perry Central, Purvis, and Sumrall.

Maybe it's the center most point, center of football field, principals office, or maybe around the campus.

I was just curious since most schools have district lines they follow how that would work with them.

And add TCPS to the list.

NoWammies
Greenville St. Joe would make a nice addition to 1A if they were to ever come back to MHSAA.
