Enterprise was a different team later in the year the Enterprise team that played  Wesson and JDC would have beaten Mize our O-line will be better this year they were young when we played Mize from what I see of Mize they only have one good player Gray they are big but have no speed or passing game to speak of if we stop Gray we should be alright because Mize dont have anyone else Enterprise is better than last year as well Mize might beat Enterprise but it sure aint no sure thing.

Gray had the 3rd most carries on the team last season, and he was a freshman. Our other back had more carries than Gray, and also is the fastest player on our team.  And we probably have more speed this season than we have ever had. You were a different team when you got Sims back last season. Thats it. Sims was phenomenal. But he also was a senior and has graduated. If you watched your jamboree game last week, you know what I’m talking about.

Just a couple quotes from last years Enterprise/Mize thread…

Before the game which looks very familiar

“All we gotta do on defense is stop # 6 because he"s Mize only good player and force Mize to pass because Mize passing game ain't worth nothing”

“Mize is too slow to beat Enterprise.”

After the game

“I need to get some things off my chest. Jimmerson needs to make some changes on offense. I been having problems with my phone so Icant post during games but somebody needs to be benched. This is the worst Enterprise offense ever. Our defense gets tired in the 2nd half because our offense doesn't hold up its part of the bargain and we get beat in the 2nd half; it's what happened against Union and Mize and almost happened against Lake.”

I would not refer to Salem and Sweetwater in the same breath. I could care less about Enterprise and the other posters bagering. Sweetwater is one of the most notable programs in Alabama regardless of size. They have won 11 state championships and a lot of those victims were much larger schools. I think they deserve a little more credit than being compared to Salem. Hoover is the only school with more at 12.

Haha.  I know... just poking at Goober. I coached with one of Sweet Water's former coaches for one season. He was my DC

So they were shut out by a school that has 170 in HS? That's like losing to Salem.

I think sweetwater is a pretty decent 1A team. They had a good year last year. I was told they dominated on defense in the jamboree, but again that’s just for one or two quarters.

From https://www.wtok.com/

Enterprise 0-0 at Lake 0-0

The Enterprise Bulldogs make the trip to Death Valley to play the Lake Hornets in the season opener for both teams; Enterprise will be breaking in a new QB, Gavin Smith, and will have RBs Landen McGowan, Hagan Hardy and Tanner Sanders while on defense the defensive end tandem of Tim Miller and Caden Mathis, as well as defensive lineman Alex Dickerson and linebacker Brayden Johnson; Lake brings back a veteran team that returns most from a 4-7 team last year; RBs Jamarrion Blaylock and Jeremiah Mayes look to be weapons on offense, while on defense DE Demetruis Towner and LBs Ny'Zavion Mclendon and Blaylock head up the Hornet defense. Enterprise has won four straight in the series including a 21-20 win at Enterprise last year.

Prediction:

Bulldogs make it five straight

Enterprise 19 Lake 6
